Congrats to Jody and Candy over at Conquest. It's been a long time since they introduced a new model. The mold is done, getting waxed and soon will give birth to the first Bosscat 28.

They are calling it Bosscat 28, because they stretched the TopCat II/Bosscat bottom 2 feet to make it a true 28. Twin Stepped, and notched. Full wrap around windshield. This bottom and this top are going to strictly be an twin outboard combination. The first boat will be built with the new 300r's. Its an in house build, not for a customer. I'm sure at some point it will be for sale however. They were trying to make the Havasu boat show, hopefully they have something ready even if it's not finished.

Now if you wanted a single, with this deck, the top will fit on the existing TopCat 2, Bosscat bottom, with a swim step (instead of the flat transom for outboards), and basically it's the Bosscat with an updated top and wrap around windshield.

The TopCat II is a proven performer and I'm sure this will be a great boat also.

Kornowski Customs in Havasu built the mold.

One other thing I will mention, this is a sit down boat, no cabin. The helm is identical on both sides so that is can be built with port or starboard controls.

I asked what happens to the plug, which is the white boat in the pics, I guess it ends up in the dump. It's basically a huge pile of plywood and bondo.

Anyhow here are some pics of the mold, and the plug. Enjoy!!

I dig it

Say, weren't they tooling a 25 flat deck at one time? I kind of remember seeing something from the "from the mold" section

No trying to derail this thread, but you sure don’t here much coming from the E Ticket camp these days. They just quiet, or they doing other things?

I remember when I worked at Long Beach Yacht sales and the bank repoed a Force plug. It was even painted to look like a boat with a HIN to give the bank something to take. We told them it was trash, and they fought us over it. I hit the side of it and it flexed, im like, Believe me now? LOL

I wonder what this bad boy is going to cost?

Somewhere in the upper 100’s. Probably under 200 with 300r’s.

Why do some cats have a center pod and others a full tunnel? Is it to do with the water conditions intended for?

Fyi. 10k down on a new top cat 1 or 2 and you will get it next summer at over 150k.
Your not locked in at any current price. It can go up.
Just had someone i know go in last week.

What the heck happened here? That's the ugliest transom ever.

I'd bet it's designed with a swim platform in mind let alone a couple blender motors.

Looks more like it was going to be a stern drive and last minute decided outboards, it's pretty obvious.

Their last two new models flopped, this one doesn't look any better.

I was there about a month ago for other work. And went over details of this boat Jody. It’s gel coated, off white with good amount of flake for the bling in the sun.
They were working on interior lay out and making changes as needed for best overall fit function and looks
My 2 cents is it looks like it will be a good seller for them. Price point is there. Biggest thing will be how it handles twins hanging off the back.
