Since I’m on a roll with picking the brains of all of you amazing RDP masters…. Has anyone ever polished the black powdercoat on a bravo drive? Mine is a little older and is starting to get the white flaky junk and I want to polish it back to like new again if possible. Any tips?

They sell the matching merc quicksilver paint in a spray can. When i got a new drive i had to put a fresh coat on the gimbal because it looked like shit with the new drive.

I would put a drive shower on that thing. Discoloration similar to what you are showing is often due to high drive temperatures. Not trying to be an alarmist just making you aware of a possibility.

This for sure, the drive can still do that to a point but this lessens the amount. Link to the one I run and its a nice piece.

I got the CP drive shower. I didn’t want to put the shiny drive shower on a crusty drive 😜

Lots of lime a way and a little elbow grease she’ll be beautiful in an hour or so.
