When I was in the body shop business I would replace 3-4 tailgates a year because contractors would pile drywall in the bed and it would just buckle the gates like they were a beer can

California's excise taxes on gasoline come to 50.5 cents per gallon. That includes 12.7 cents per gallon from the controversial Senate Bill 1 that became law to improve infrastructure and develop transportation programs across the state

Gas average for CA is 4.175 per gallon. That includes state taxes of .511 cents (increase coming July 1st thanks again California voters...) and federal taxes of .184 a gallon. Actual fuel cost is 3.48 on average. The tax amount is 13.38 on 67 dollars of fuel. Thats a tax of 19.97% per gallon. 20% is still bs but it aint 48%.

A tax to improve infrastructure? Such a great way to fool voters. With all the infrastructure taxes passed over the years California should have streets paved in gold!

Well, would "infrastructure" also include scraping the shit off the sidewalks?
Maybe they can figure out how to fill the potholes with it...that or overdosed homeless, whatever works.
