BUDMAN’S Breakfast Run

[BUDMAN]

I did this run last year and we had approximately 9-11 boats brave enough to brave the cooler morning temperatures. Some people (chickens) drove down and had breakfast with the group. I’ve been asked if I’m doing it again this year. Weather permitting Dec 4th the weekend of the parade of lights will be the day for the breakfast run. We meet up at the bouy line at Thompson @10:00 AM and cruise down to the springs as a group for breakfast. Depending how many people commit to going I’ll try to call ahead to the springs and make arrangements for us. Last year the weather was so nice a few boaters made it a day at three dunes with the families afterwards. Hopefully this is something we can do again. This will be a weather permitted event. Hope to see you all.

We are in and I just ordered a pair of gloves from 212 so my hands don't go numb again driving.

Other than the cold hands, it really wasn't bad at all! Looking forward to it and hopefully we have another solid weather day.

Dont mention a starting time or location, ie an agenda or you are liable for the event and may be required to pull permits and or insurance. Change it to, "I am going to the springs for lunch, gonna head out around 10 am, if anyone wants to meet us at the springs". Trust me, you dont want a call from the coast guard and you dont want to get sued if someone crashes their boat. One of the reasons I dont host the Eliminator breakfast run anymore.

Saturday morning we meet up at the Thompson bay buoy line and head down as a group to the springs for breakfast. Just an excuse to take the boats out. After breakfast some will hit three dunes for the day, some will head home or? Hope you can make it. Good place to meet some new members if your new to the forum.

We actually launched yesterday at 11:30, we were still chilled...lol, only crossed one or two wakes though.
