Business Banking Options F*&^Wells Fargo!

I have had my last straw with Wells Fargo today, (I know, I should have switched long time ago, too lazy to move all the deposits etc!) Go to ATM with wife in car, deposit a check into ATM for my Biz account, ATM sucks my check up, spits my card out and says, Out of Service, Sorry. OK.......shit happens no problem, I am in I.T., so I know shit breaks. I go inside, and the place closes in 5 minutes, 15 people in line. 1 Teller, and now they are locking the door to keep people out. The greasy teller dude that locks the door, I tell him "Hey my check got eaten". He tells me, Oh well, you gotta call the 800 number, we dont have any control over that. I'm like "Says your name on it?". He starts giving me attitude! I'm like, "Bro, how about you call the number and file the claim for me?" He goes, "We are closed, not happening". At this point, I tell him I'm going to close all my accounts and send the manager over as I wait in line.

I knew where this is gonna get me, I tell the bitchy latina to close all my accounts, of course I get the "We dont have that much cash, Sorry". Im like the FUCK you do. I finally told her to unlock the door and let my white ass out, cause this "Kyle" is too pissed to even think at this point. I get to the car and my wife is like WTF Happened to you! LOL

Someone tell me a place local to the OC that appreciates my business , please! I need some referrals. LOL

Wells Fargo burned our ass on the new accounts/credit cars scam they pulled to pad commissions years ago. It was fun to find out that my ex and I both had CC's that we didn't know about and I had a payroll account for my sole proprietor business...smh. I wouldn't even take money out of one of their ATM's...fuck those guys.

I've been banking with First Bank out of Yorba Linda for close to 20 years. Great customer service!

And what @Universal Elements said, F&M is great as well. They'd be my second choice if I didn't use FB.

I went into U.S. Bank once to get info on a car loan with them, as they held the one on my truck. During coversation I asked about the balance due on my truck. After about 15 minutes, three different "managers" came up with three different amounts all around $17K. I wrote them a check for that amount and won't go ever go back.

Folks at the casino says "not our problem. Talk to BofA." Really? BofA did make it right after about a month though.

Credit Unions!! Most are accessible, others have specific membership requirements like military preference. My primary accounts are with F&A Federal Credit Union, both personal and business. Also would recommend Chase Bank.

Weve had credit unions, small banks and big banks. Credit union typically dont handle corp stuff very well from my experience. Good luck trying to find a small bank anymore. Weve been with chase now a couple of years. So far so good. We have a personal bank rep we get to deal with. She checks on us regularly. Good luck with your hunt. It seems non of them do everything bank related.

Dumped WF around 2004, business went to Washington Mutual, which is now Chase.
Personal went to a local credit union.
Manager of the credit union had worked for WF and said “If you think they treat the customers poorly, you should see how they treat their employees.”

I went with credit unions years ago and never looked back. They treat me extremely well, customer service is excellent, almost no lines, they answer the phone, have the best rates if you ever need car loans, etc. Currently, I have Mission Federal and San Diego Credit Unit. Both have been excellent.

I use schools first. I had always used Bank of America till this covid crap. They wouldn’t give me a couple thousand I needed to make a purchase. I went off and pulled all my money out and changed all my direct deposits. I didn’t close my credit cards with zero balance because I’ve had them for so long but I told the lady she could shove them up her ass. Felt good.

What city are you in? I moved all my business and personal accounts to chino commercial bank. Man I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner. Talk about making you feel appreciated as a customer. Frank the bank manager answers the phone half the time I call. They know you by name when you walk in and I never wait to do a deposit or withdrawal. Makes you feel valued. He’s even come to my shop while I am out of town and grabbed my deposit for me.

Checking, savings, mortgage, line of credit.
I’ve been more than pleased.

Yeah I guess I’m in the minority as well.
Since 2004 here.
Never a problem. In Redding our “personal banker” would be on us within seconds if we went inside the branch. Never stood in line.
But I don’t do a lot of things that can lead to problems.
I NEVER put money or checks into an ATM. Just doesn’t feel right. If it’s more than what I can mobile deposit I go inside. I have 3 different banks full time. Some are better for loans, some are better for my credit cards, Wells Fargo is my deposit and debit account, bills etc. ...period. No loans no credit.

I don’t use a debit card at gas pumps, I would NEVER put my name on a retail card.

So a lot of the things that can go wrong or expose one to damage are things I eliminate rather than rely on a bank to do for me.

I would recommend banking with a small local bank to you. We switched to small banks from Chase 15 years or so ago. So much easier to know your commercial banker and be able get instant access to them. Few times we have had an issue all it takes is a text and our banker is in our office typically within the hour.

Also if you have been physically taking checks to the bank to deposit at any point in the last 10 years your doing it wrong. This may sound strange but I have never seen the bank who we use and it's only 5ish miles away. haha

Sucks you had that happen at Wells Fargo . . . the term 'service' is fastly becoming a thing of the past. I ditched Wells a long time ago for some nagging reasons. I bounced around to B of A, then Citi bank . . . I ended up at Chase. I'm very happy with them and so is my Dad ( He got me to switch) . Their online platform is very user friendly, and I've never had any problems whatsoever. I have a couple small investments with them and I am very comfortable with the way they are handled. I've heard some people hate Chese for political reasons for supporting 'X,Y, or Z' . . . but I don't have the time, or frankly the energy anymore to find out every political affiliation of every place I do business with. Nowadays, doing busines it seems easier than ever to cut off your nose to spite your face . . .

They have you by the balls. I opened a business account at Horizon Comminity Bank here in Havasu. Super cool place, I have the cell phone of my business banker, tellers that are actually intelligent, first name basis with the people in the bank, etc.

I want to move everything over to them but it is a daunting task, I get paid via EFT by about 30 vendors each month and have 20 or so automatic bills going out the other way, it’s just a brutal process, and I’m sure Wells Fargo and other major banks know this as well. You’re in too deep so to speak.
