Who had to get one with the new age escalations? Even on an AZ registered boat with a second home in Havasu I was fearful of Commifornias reach and got the stupid license that the renters running full speed in no wake zones don’t need.

I'm not due for several more years...as in, I think I'll need it when it's the last year to get one unless I change residency.

I was not going to get one and just carry my AZ ID card on the boat. Problem solved.

I ended up just taking the tests on conference calls over a few days, and then flipping through the timed pages.

I read a deal locally, I’ll try to find it, but said to launch at Jack Smith in Needless you have to abide by that law and have the boaters card regardless of where you live and or registered to launch at their facility.

CA can only make CA residents follow the requirement.
so, if you have a CA DL, you will need one regardless of boat registration

WTF! Don’t know how many rant threads have been posted here about all the fucked up, clueless & inexperienced boaters not knowing boating etiquette and causing issues on the waterways. Well some kind of boating education was needed and now you got it. :p So quit bitchen and just take the damn boaters License course cause a lot of you aren’t as good at boating as you think and we all know you and the others need it.:p

Honestly it’s the rental exemption that gets me. If I rent a car do I not need to have a license?

Not due for a couple years but went ahead and got it over with.
Go here and take it for free...still have to pay Commiefornia the 10 bucks.
