No. Takes a few years. AZ goes off msrp of vehicle. I just went over this with my buddy last weekend. Compared each of our truck registrations. Once 5 years old it was cheaper in AZ.

AZ reg also means AZ insurance which may or may not be cheaper depending on who you are. CA doesn't allow insurance companies to use some metrics to rate a policy that AZ can. If you are good in those metrics, your coverage will be cheaper, if you are bad in those metrics, AZ coverage will probably be more.

Its not the big of difference, and we have found that insurance in Havasu is more then Anaheim Hills for some reason. We still changed our stuff to Arizona so it all matches up with our drivers licenses and also we prefer not to give money to california when we have the option.

Mine is about $250 cheaper in AZ than in CA (2017 GMC 2500). On top of that I don't want to give CA another dollar if I can avoid it.

Just registered my 17 Silverado, was $538. California was $690. Insurance dropped by 500 every 6 months from California to AZ.

Don’t get me started on MSRP way that Arizona charges for car registration. My MSRP was twice the amount I paid for the vehicle. I tried to appeal it and no way. Arizona goes off MSRP off the VIN number.

Registered my 2005 Suburban (commercial this is where Taxafornia gets you), in Bullhead, registration was considerably less but when she wrote my policy, I told her it was not much less. She said. There are more and more accidents on the 95 because of more people living there. Which is hard to believe because the speed limit is 45 and sometimes 35 all thru town.

It depends on who you ask. As you can see the answers here are all over the place. I don't know about registration but I agree with Kevin on the insurance. It really can't be answered without knowing metrics plus where you live. It can be higher or lower depending on where you currently live vs where you're moving to.

AZ reg also means AZ insurance which may or may not be cheaper depending on who you are. CA doesn't allow insurance companies to use some metrics to rate a policy that AZ can.
