Larry Elder while walking through Venice was "Egged" and had hecklers calling him A POS and a "N****R, and F.O.

On one hand this Piece Of Work in Office now is a Disgrace and has disrespected every Citizen of the State, and when someone comes along to offer a Change. o_O

I understand it may be just a few, but after reading and watching the past 18 months, I would be willing to Vote for Anybody VS newsome.

Sad people in this state are such racists.

I have watched California, Hate Grey Davis, Ronald Reagan, Arnold, Newsome and others. I know you can and never will keep everyone happy, but it seems as The State has so many different thoughts on Society, it is a "Lost Cause" for anyone who really wishes to help.

Socialism, sure is Not the Answer.

Eliminate the Police is Not the Answer.

I guess just selling out and leaving is the Answer.

I was going to post a new thread but this topic seems relevant.

I got an email alert from NextDoor, which I actually rarely use as it's just a bunch of fucking Karens complaining about EEEEEEEVERTHING. but this chick posts on there about how Elder is a woman beater, black racist, etc (you know, all the left talking points) and most importantly got some huge donation from a developer. Then there the obligatory back and forth from people on both sides arguing. As I read through the comments I see that the right is just fed up with the way the state has been run for the past 40 years - high crime, highest taxes, highest unemployment, high housing market, rampant crime and vagrancy, failure of AB109, Prop 47 & prop57, the money mismanagement, gas tax (highest gas prices) and of course the "do as I say not as I do" attitude. But the left can't really voice why they continue to support Newsom and are against the recall. So the question is @squeezer @RodnJen @GRADS @530RL why not make a change? What's it going to hurt? For real? How can you honestly be OK with Newsom? I just can't wrap my head around supporting Newsom except that it is purely partisan. At this point in Ca. I just don't see how anything politically could get worse frankly.

All I can do is look at it from the other angle and can say with 100% certainty if this state had been run by conservatives for the past 40 years and was run in the manner that lead to its current condition I would vote for ANYONE that wasn't in the same party.

Dude, it’s a disease without a cure. Until the disease hits them strongly in the pocket book or that violence hits them personally, it’s business as usual.

Not sure why you include me in your question as although I have to file a Ca tax return, I am not a Ca resident nor am I able to vote in California.

Secondly, I didn't vote for any "liberals" whether it be Trump or Biden in the Presidential election or any of the liberals in Arizona Senate elections.

So I am confused as to why you would include me in a question regarding who should be the Governor of California? Not up to me? I can only vote in Az so I get involved in Az politics but not Ca.

My apologize, I thought you were a CA. resident. I take it you don't give two shits about the Ca. governors race / recall then.

For the record I had to Google "Larry Elder" today because I had no idea who the guy was... Apparently there is some sort of thing happening in California... Let me put this in the words of one of this boards great philosophers: DONT CARE

So you don't give a shit that you have to pay taxes there but have no say in how it's wasted?

Doesn't matter if I agree or disagree with the race/recall or any other issues/complaints you have about Ca because there is nothing I can do about it so worrying about it is a waste of precious time and energy that can be spent on delivering results.

All our companies do business in Ca as it is the largest market in the US, resulting in almost 15% of all business done in the Nation. Don't necessarily like the high tax rates but if it wasn't profitable net of taxes, we wouldn't be there. And there are other states that are just as or even tougher with respect to regulations, duties, taxes, special assessments and other costs of doing business in the state depending upon the issue. At the end of the day, it is all a simple objective financial calculation.

For me it's not so much about Newsome, or any other candidate for that matter, it is finding a platform that more closely fits my own thoughts regarding the direction of whatever body I am voting for.

As for things changing the last 40 years, yes there has been a great deal of change. Much of that has little to do with who is in the governor's office and more to do with progress and the growing pains that go along with it.

I'm against the recall because it is a waste if time and money. He is up for reelection soon anyway. I get that this is your only real chance to get a republican into the office and I don't blame you for taking the shot. We all know that in a straight up election Elder and any other current candidate would get trounced.

We have huge problems with crime, addiction and mental health. If you have a candidate that has some real solutions, by all means bring him/her forward.

What is the FBI and DOJ doing? They ran to NASCAR when there was a NOOSE HOAX going on and were shaking everyone down for Who Done It?

NOW

In broad daylight the sickening Backward Racist Trash and not a Word.

Just shows Newsome is a POS!!, he didn't say a word, instead coming out and denouncing this Ignorant behavior of HIS Supporters.

Yup. And your party created this mess with its santuary cities, letting criminals out of jail, lax criminal justice, social justice BS, social giveaways, illegal immigration, etc.

The mirror is there. But libs refuse to look onto it and admit their policies are an abysmal failure from Every angle

This is what I don't understand, every single tv/radio station is running different ads that are sponsored by different groups that all oppose the recall, using scare tactics, calling people that support is "Trump Supporters" etc....but what you don't see/hear are any ads that support the recall from any groups other then the occasional ad from one of the people running in the recall (Elder, etc)...why is it that Democrats can get together and make things happen but Republicans seem to just sit back and hope it happens???

Democrats are outspending the Republicans 10 to 1 in CA on this recall.

The Time has Come and Gone for any California resident to complain about anything how things are "RUN" in your State. You had a chance to at least help organize groups to speak up and support Elder. How about boycotting all these Companies who gave Mega $'s to newsome and his Corrupt Machine. Nothing changes, except recently it is Cashing in and RUNNING to one of the "NORMAL" States. I hear the same Complaint from people I know from all over the U.S., you are Welcome, but don't mess with us and our way of Life.

DAMN!!, California was "The American Dream" when I was growing up. Watching all the Great things they have and had. Racing, Surfing,Music and the Beautiful Girls. How in Hell could you let all this "Slip" away. I am confident now if ever it is gone and left to the "LEFT"

RIP California.

LG, dont paint all Californians with such a broad brush. There are a lot of folks here who are unhappy with the direction this state has been and will be heading. We have done the things you've mentioned in your post, but when you look at the numbers of "Us" vs. "Them," it was a long shot from the get-go. We knew it, and we STILL pushed forward. Just like many of us will continue to do.

For the record, I dont participate in Fagbook, Twatter or any other social media other than this site. Yes, we do dabble with Netflix from time to time, but that is rare. So again, some of us ARE doing all we can, short of quitting our jobs and moving out of this state. That time will come soon enough.

Instead of phrasing it the way you did, it would be nice if folks showed a little more support to those of us stil IN California, behind enemy lines.

"We all knew it was a long shot, but you guys did the best you could! Good job, keep fighting the fight!" (Or something similar.) ;)

Good for you, it is just so Damh heartbreaking to see what has and is happening as with our Country, it all was so Preventable and Unnecessary and Damaging for Lifetimes.

I promise you, I had a 6' Palm tree on the Wall opposite my Bed and would look at it every night when going to bed back in the Cold Snowing Midwest and kept telling myself, Just Patience Someday I will be "THERE"

It Was The American Dream.

Actually the World's Dream.

It is a Disgrace that a Few Warped Losers can Twist things for their Vision.😢

OH!!, just go over to the Desert Toys Threads, so you can pretend you actually know something.

If it is SO GREAT, do All of us a huge favor. When you are back in California, STAY THERE.

We have enough Transplanted "TRASH" here already.
