Ok gents. 72" wide RC edition. Did you adjust shocks for havasu? Washboards etc. Was it worth it?
Doesnt need to be RC, exact same suspension as the other 2 seaters
Thanks

If you majority in Havasu I’d set it up with quite a bit of sag and real soft, unless you plan to do everything at a high rate of speed. At the 35-40 cruise soft and low is the best way. My belly pan at rest is at 18” on a 35” tire if that makes sense.

Slow havasu dirt cruising. Fast on smooth open trails. But there so much chop out there

I’ve got a guy in Murrieta that did mine, although it’s a max, rides great! Mine is 19.5 rear and Frt is 19 clearance with 35’s new springs and some valving clean up

Works nice wife was impressed, although at under 20 mph it doesn’t work to well

What’s your tire pressure? If you’re headed for a day of low speed in the chatter start with taking -5psi out.

Slow havasu dirt cruising. Fast on smooth open trails. But there so much (RZR Bump) chop out there
My daughter at 8 coined it RZR bump, very fitting as it’s mostly from the 199$ a month Robby Gordon’s, cluelessly destroying the desert. The 3-4” tall 5-6” spaced chatter is so impossibly bad, I’m all for 2-3’ tall these days as those smooth out with speed but that chatter bump that is all over Mohave Co now days hurts the kidneys at 10mph as well 100mph the only way I’ve found around it is either just that “around it” or plan on not going to fast and I’ll run at 15-16psi vs 24psi and it helps. I’ve attempted playing with bypass adjustments as well n0 adjustments and really they are just so short that i haven’t found the solution. I did cheat however and Santa is bringing me a set of gold valves for my long compression tubes hope that will give me a slight option but that’s on 5 tube bypasses.

I set mine up using the Fox recommendations and dropping down to 12 pounds on the 32” tires, the shocks still needed some work, never did get it over to shock therapy.

I can get on top of that crap at about 45. It is murder getting there though from 25-35!

Did you notice a big difference from stock set up to fox recommended? I have the same RC but with the factory maxxis liberty 30s

Yes it did help the ride adjusting the shocks but the small washboard garbage is still there. On tire pressure I was down to 12 psi.

If you’re ready/willing to go full shock upgrade check this guy out, Gary Fries. He owns a X3 and does a ton of shock testing in Havasu. http://www.utvshocks.com/about-utv.html

Otherwise set your shocks to the fox race settings and for slow days crank the compression and rebound to full soft and lower your tire psi. Do not do this if you plan to go fast or hit big whoops at speed as you will bottom out.

FYI my buddies race team runs the following PSI per conditions. Keep in mind they have full custom tuned shocks and are adjusting them constantly.

18-23 psi full race
15-18 high speed fun
12-15 low speed fun/family cruising
< 12 rock crawling

Gary Fries is in Havasu and does a great shock setup. He has a test track close to his house out by the refuge.

I set everything at fox race last night. All 4 shocks were set different. Not one the same and more stiff than fox recommended on all settings. Ridiculous. Ride height set tomorrow, its 1.5 low.
Guy at dealer said can am had to set them low to get a better tip over rating and they offer a 'shock set up' before delivery. Added cost...

A 17mm wrench and a screw driver will be in the glove box for awhile getting it where it's good.

Rears set at 31" of spring lenght per fox. Ride height is about 15"
The spring lenght was at 32 1/2"
I cant believe how far out it is from the factory.
