Can Dog Pee Destroyed Grass Be Replanted

My wife's black Lab has destroyed the grass between my patio and wall as this is where she likes to pee. Do I have to treat the soil prior to putting new sod down or will it take hold on the dirt (where the grass used to be) or am I SOL?

I used a product from Scott's
It's green I'm color and is fast growing seed. Did wonders on my fescue lawn. Stuff is legit

I've reseeded directly on the spots with Marathon seed and a topper... came back fine and super green around the edges as if it were fertilized

It was, notice how green and fast it grows around the dead spot? Dog pee is ammonia and burns the lawn.

This stuff works, completely got rid of all the yellow spots in our back lawn.
