Cant seem to locate it and I need a questioned answered for the people who know....

Might as well ask it here.....

I'm designing a conveyor layout for the drying purpose and need to know what the average weight of a plant is when ready to be hung. The notes I have say 4 lbs per plant (seems heavy) (multiple plants will be hanging from a carrier) so i need to make sure the equipment can carry the weight. I guess the plant loose 75% weight during the drying process.

Any info would be great... thx

4lbs per plant sounds about right for good stuff and will be around 1lb when dry. My buddy had a plant once that yielded 12lbs. He literally had laundry baskets full of weed.

Thanks, this is for production farming. Finding out that 2 farms don't do anything the same and in reality its chaos. We have worked with one company that cuts and trims before hanging and they hang spurs/spears about 2' long or so, others just hang the plant with not much trimming. The later can be much heaver.
