Hello, I am looking for a Heavy Duty car hauler capable of carrying a crewcab diesel dually 4x4 (roughly 9900lbs) for both short and very long distances. I do not need one that extreme but I would rather have overkill than under. Typically I would only be towing a SxS, Golf Cart or Jeep but again rather have way overkill just in case I want to tow one of my big trucks. I have seen a few that state they are rated at 14k # with 2-7k axles but they say 7500# load capacity, and some of the equipment trailers I have seen say the same about the axles at 7k each but say they are rated at 10500/10900# capacity. I have been open to even heavier duty haulers that have the 10# axles because the 2 I looked at say 10900-12k load capacity. I did find a 24' Big Tex that says 13k # capacity as well. Anyone here ever haul a 9900# crewcab diesel on their trailers and if so what do you have or suggest? Thanks. G

Bumper pull because in emergencies I would be pulling with one of 4 trucks, 3 would be bumper pull (trailer hitch of course) 1 has a 5th wheel setup and bumper. 3 Ford F350 crewcab dually diesels, 2 are 4x4, and 1 excursion diesel 4x4.

How wide is the rear wheels on a dually? Open or enclosed trailer?

Going to need a Class A in CA. I had a Carson trailer 18' that was rated for 9,999 that carried my F350 crew cab long bed when it would break down. It was $3200 new. Order it with 7k axles. I have almost same trailer now but 14' ordered from Carson. Both are used for my skidsteer but double duty when the Ford broke down.

Call PJ or Big Tex In Beaumont Ca. They are made in Texas order it with 7,000lb axles and have it rated for under 10,000 lbs

you are going to need a 24’ ft

the other option is Vimetal

The game here is to avoid a CDL. An F350 with a 9990 lb trailer is ok, but an F450 or a 14K trailer puts you over. I would look for a trailer with 7K axles that is underrated to 9990 lbs and pull it with a F350 or HD2500.

SO I take it a lot of the trailer underrate their trailers that have 7k axles to avoid the CDL....great to know, that clears up why so many differences in cargo capacity variations for the same axle capabilities.

As I recently learned, this is why the F350 chassis cab is popular. The rated GVW of truck and equipment trailer can meet the 26,000 lb limit.

You'll need a non commercial class A, no 2 year physical required, just one trip for the permit and one "hopefully" trip to the DMV for the drive test.

Not for 9,999 or less. Have 3 Carson trailers rated for that weight. Run 26 stickers on my work truck to avoid class A.

Yes over 10k tag and 14k 5th wheel you need to get a different class

Pretty sure over 10k on a flatbed hauling a truck requires a Class A. Non commercial class A won't fly. I had 3 trailers rated over 10k I sold and went to the 9,999 rated trailers. Local pd added a commercial truck division.

I'll have to look in my book when I get home, having indoor dinner at a "Fuck off newsom" establishment. 👍👍
