Carpet install

I have a Hallett 20.5 open bow jet boat.

I have completely gutted my boat and have cleaned the floor of any old glue or carpet. It is ready to have carpet installed.

I have already bought my carpet and called to get an estimate on how much to install it.

I was floored when I was told $1200 to install.

Does this seem high to anyone or is this what interior work costs?

200-300 more then I would want to pay
since you already have the carpet, IMO most shops are going to be higher
labor rate is around 100 an hour

I have no experience but that's way to high, It's only labor and shouldn't take more than 3-4 hrs. max.

I just had some new carpet installed in my house and they guy who installed it is going to come back and do my boat. Charging me $350

I too need carpet installed, I was quoted $1000 for 3yrds in my 21RC floor only that has the interior out/empty.

This shop has been mentioned here on RDP so there must have been a RDP surcharge

They also do not remove any hardware, seat brackets, foot throttle or anything lol.

I was also told that 40oz is hard to find and expensive and that they always install 20oz.

I found the 40z carpet in 5min @$149.00 total, either I find some to do it or I guess I'll do it myself cuz @$1000.00 a day to install daaaauuuummmm.

I was quoted 1500 bucks that’s with carpet and to remove everything.

I didn’t ask if that was 40oz or 20oz

We have the same size boat.

I found 40 oz but it did not come in the width I needed.
