CATMANS X3 MAX BUILD

After waiting for the 200hp frame change Can am to come out and figured that was not going to happen I ordered a 2019 x3 Max.When the car came in the first thing to do was a Evo stage 3 kit which included a Ecu flash,intake,cat delete and slip on exhaust.After doing that the clutch had to be done to get the 200 hp to the ground.When I was waiting for the car to come in I purchased 5 OMF Billet 15”x7” wheels.They are super strong and pretty light (17 lbs).

Before the car came in I was in contact with TMW Offroad in Mesa. I wanted to get all the parts that had to be fabercated powder coated done so when the car came in the parts would be ready.I had them build a cage,roof,roof rack,doors,glass windshield and ordered the seats from XXX Seats.After talking with people At TMW in Mesa I decided to go with 35” Tensor tires.Here is a pic of the same cage I had built.This was customer # 1 for there new roof rack.Mine will be powder coated Can am black.

Next was to pull the shocks and send them to Shock Therapy for there spring kit,re valve,ST bypass tube upgrade and limit straps.Also went with there sway bar and links.
After that the build list grew and the bank account went down.It is a total addiction but you want to go out and have the car handle as best it can and also replace all the weak parts that Can am uses.Next update soon...

Cage Is back from powder coat and getting pre wired.Car is stripped good....

Time time to bring in some good strong suspension.Brian at Long Travel builds nice suspension.Going with factory replacement boxed A arms,trailing arms and 4130 chromoly radius rods.His radius rods are built with no heim joints.You can have the strongest radius rod but the heim joints are the weak link.The is barely any toe adjustment on a Can am so the need for adjustment is minimal.

The Glazzkraft carbon fiber dash is in and comes blank with no cut outs.This leaves it up to you to get creative with components.I went with a AIM dash logger.You can pretty mush have as many sensors as you want.Turbo Boost,AFR,Trans temp,Belt temp,os,fuel pressure plus everything from the ecu.I was told by a AIM rep that “the sky is the limit” with how many you can add.Added a PCI Ultimate 4 radio.Rockford stage 5 sounds and was going to go with a Lowrance HD 7 but after talking with Doug running a IPad is cheaper,bigger and the apps are endless for maps.Plus all your music is on there also.They will also run a antenna puk for the iPad.Switch Pro switch’s and that stock steering wheel is gone...

Well it is pretty much buttoned up and ready to go rip.TMW did a great job and I am happy with the way the car turned out.Had to take some pics Because this car will never be this clean again.

My last Utv was a 900 Razor so the jump in power and the turbo is unreal..I just did the total cost and I am in the complete car for around 70K total.Not bad considering Bert’s sells there cars with a few bolts ons for that and it’s less then half of a new Buckshot.Story of my life...Buy high sell low...

The build is absolutely unbelievable. Nothing that i would change.
Compared to stock, what’s the biggest difference?

TMW used the car for the offroad expo so with all the vendors at the show we came up with going with the Evo stage 6 big turbo kit and STM clutch ..Going to install a 31 gallon fuel cell under the front seats along with the stock tank for the added consumption running E85.Not Going to run pumped e85 because of having to text every time you pump and going with Torco T85.Still cheap at $2.00 per gallon.Evo supplied a small map screen that will be on the dash to go from the e85 tune to 110 race or even 91.All three tunes are downloaded in the map tuner.Running on e85 will build the most hp (260) and run the motor cool so less stress on parts...We will see ??

The stage 6 big turbo and STM clutch really woke up the car !!! It is scary fast now and ready for the dunes.Tim at OMF hooked me up with 15” wheels for the dunes.10” for the rears and 7” for the fronts.They are the lightest wheel they make for a 15” utv wheel ..13 lbs.
