Cavitation plate travel

Hey folks looking to find some information on how much total travel a 79 Eliminator 21 round keel needs, adding a center plate also.

That round keel is a unique beast, my Spectra has a bout 3/4 in of travel, big boat mild power. I put fairly long plates on her and primarily for looks, the boat did not come from Spectra with plates. The plates work very well when turning, I can turn pretty dam tight in this heavy 21"
