Ran a test today with ceramic inserts on Inco 625 AMS 5666. Roughing.

2" 4 flute 3150 SFM (6000 rpm) 84 IPM 1.5 degree ramp .050 axial DOC.

RDOC varies from .200-full width.

80-90% of our jobs are Inco 718 so we're very comfortable with it.

This type of part we usually use a high feed shell mill carbide inserts 120-200 SFM depending on rigidity of the set up. .030 axial DOC same ramp etc.

Video isn't the greatest.

video came through for me. I love me some ceramic inserts. I think what i love more is watching peoples faces in the shop who have never seen them run. I learned to warn the operator of the light show about to happen so they dont slam the E stop.

The only time I would have a "light show" was when the ceramic insert was chipped and needed to be replaced. And that was 4140 steel with a hardness of 38 to 41 rockwell c.
