Both surprised and very sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. Great skier and an even better barefooter. Always figured he inherited his athletic ability from his dad who was one of the all-time greats of banked-track roller derby back in the late 1950s and '60s.

Heard this yesterday...really bummed to hear this Charlie was a character and s good guy...RIP.

So sad to hear. I was talking to Charlie at Foxes on Saturday and was able to purchase a new set of handles. Might be one of the last he made. RIP Charlie
