Someone sitting in the rearward facing seat could just slide right out at 100mph :)

John Cosker is a wizard. Literal naval architect that worked for some very respectable high end companies (callen marine, Rolla propellers, Fabio Buzzi among others). He’s a hell of a good guy too.

Funny though, as beautiful, well laid out and awesome running as his smaller cats are and no matter how bad ass his 50’ cats are or how many records they hold (spirit of Qatar mystic 244mph run)...he still builds more center consoles many times over than cats, nearly ceasing cat production over the last couple years. Supply and demand.

The backets are factory integrated into the engine's mid section and designed for a lot of strength.

Very cool. Did not know that. Thought it was aftermarket.

He builds some really cool boats. I have never ridden in one but see a lot of them in FL.

The pics posted are the first Mystic I’ve seen that I like the looks of (although I reserve the option to change my mind when I see the profile) - I always thought their ccs look bulbous. I’ve never cared for the lines. They are well made and have all the right features, just never liked the lines😊

Pshh, shoulda gone with 600's, cheap ass :p

Just kidding that is beautiful and that layout is rad. Too funny though that my 22' will hold more people :)
You have a 22’ cat that runs over 120 mph that holds six comfortably and has a chase lounge for relaxing while floating? 😳

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I gotta say...the 50 mystic is the baddest mother fucker on the planet. Drop dead sexy, all business.

John running out of key west with us 2019

Bad mamma jamma.

Funny too he alway said CC’s are his money maker but he absolutely loves the big 200+ mph cats. When he talks about them he gets all giddy. Lol.

Sarcasm Dave and Not even close to 120. Lol 🙄

but it does hold 7. That was my point that it’s funny how the big cats hold so few (for their length). Different boats for different uses for sure

I do like the 40 now that I see the profile - and the performance is in the 50 for sure but I don’t care for the rear qtr on the 50. And the ccs just look like orcas to me 😬
