So we all know we check tire pressures at cold, and we all know we fill trailer tires (at the least the ST ones) to their max PSI listed on their sidewalls.

But, when is the best time to check this tire pressure, when the trailer has the boat on it or not?

Some may say that you don't take the tires off your car to check the tire pressures there, but cars don't use Trailer Tires (ST) which are different construction.

Does the weight of the boat cause an increase in the tire pressure? The volume of the tire doesn't change, but the load might cause more air compression?

What does everyone think on this?

I have a semi and I have had a difference of nearly 80,000 pounds between empty and loaded and I just don't think it changes.
