When the airliners are lined up waiting to take off, everybody onboard behind another aircraft is breathing the exhaust of the airplane in front through the air cycle machines. Oh sure, the air is filtered but if you are number 12 in-line to takeoff, is gets heavy fumes when waiting long time.

over the last 8 years, our engine fuel nozzles were r&r’d more frequently and the engines were coming off wing sooner due to weird combustion liner and vane ring erosion from nozzle “cokeing”….what the heck was causing the nozzles to prematurely “coke”?…….I don’t remember the exact maintenance program check level for nozzle R&R, maybe 2500 hours, but it was becoming sooner over the years….our fuel auditing department wasn’t seeing or “smelling” anything out of the ordinary during the annual fuel audits….engine shop guys would point fingers to engine manufacturers for using a cheaper (lesser) ceramic coating on the liners (very likely) yet the nozzles were cokeing more frequently on both engines - we had Pratt and GE turbines…Just bad gas we‘d guess……OR, was something added to the fuel? Hmmmmmmm???

Dude. They have trucks here that go all over like everywhere ever year and spray insecticide. They say, for mosquitoes...

They do it alot at night. !°°!

The insecticide spraying happens during the coolest part of the morning because it settles best during that time. Spraying insecticide in the heat of the day is bad because it is carried up to the atmosphere likely harming humans and animals. Nobody would do this as it can kill almost all living things, except cockroaches
