My dad told me they had a real hard time selling Superbirds back in the day...

A guy had a Panther pink 70 Hemi Cuda convertible at our local cars and coffee this morning, I should have taken a picture.

i remember the Superbirds lined up for sale. $4k was a lot of money back then and people thought the wing was ugly. They really did have a hard time selling them.

If we only knew. But that was half a century ago!

Everytime I see ads/posts like this I think of what else we could have bought decades ago that would have skyrocketed in price...Apple stock, Google stock, etc., etc.

ugggg. Well I had 2 of the 3 and sold them for less

Had a 69 Superbee with a wedge and a 4 speed in high school. Sold it to my Uncle for $800 when the front suspension needed work. Next car was a 70 Mustang with a Cleveland. Was slightly damaged in a rear ender and sold it to a wreaking yard for $250.

If only..

I remember as a junior line tech at Cole CPD working on Road Runners, GTX, Hemi Cudas etc , 7 70 warranty , lots of 4 speed trans failure .... post repair road test was a ball , We also did all the service PD, SO and CHP ... lots of 440 Coronets love to drive those "out of service" black and whites over Cuesta Grade ..... they had to run over 100 right ;) , My FILs first jet boat was powered by a Berkeley 440 packajet set up (motor came from a burned CHP car)
