So the new ownership is making a push to offer parts and service to older boats now, Mindi at the office was kind enough to send me the following info and photo after I requested an owners manual.

Very cool to find out

The boat sold to a dealer for 120k and was sold to the owner for 187k in 1986 which is roughly around 450k in todays money.

The colors were burgundy and black stripes over white, the Cig logo was deleted on the sides and the name Pegasus was added to the stripe, I guess I know now the real name of my boat and will relabel as such

The Hawk 540 engines and Mercury Racing Number 3 drives were OEM and of course still on the boat.

That’s pretty cool. Do you or did you already know where it was delivered/sold?

That's really cool......you can almost feel the vibe from the original owner working with Cig/Dealer on how the stripes/colors should be laid out.

Wow, tested by Brownie (Alan Brown).🙂👍
And Bud Lurouw who just retired a few months ago from Cigarette and was there FOR-EVER.

Having Mindi Dollar come onto Cigarette and focus on parts, customer service and restorations is a game changer for Cigarette. Skip did a fantastic job of promtoing the brand to be a world brand but they did not focus on the loyal followers and previous owners. New owner focus' to change that. Mindi is an amazing asset.

It was shit when I got it. And was like an orange red like colors plus yellow and had spots that looked like it painted by hand lol.

Oh yeah, I remember you from a while back posting a thread on this. Liked it then too. [I see what you mean about project taking some time] You gonna do the non skid surface down that bow stripe like Tank as I recall.

I like these older Cig refreshes.... I was checking out whats out there recently..... think when I'm ready for my next one it'll be something like what your doing. Following!

I actually text Mindi to see what she has on our Cafe and my daughters Cafe Open CC. I was under the impression most of the older paperwork was purged when Cig moved from 188th St. (Thunder boat row) to the new location in Opalocka. I know for a fact, the old management and ownership wouldn't take the time to look into this stuff for previous customers. So, we'll see what they come up with. I know our boat came from Miami from the first owner, went to a buddy Gary in Newport Beach as the second owner and then to Carlos in NPB as the 3rd owner who we bought it from. SOL and daughters 33 Open was bought from the original owner who built it at the factory in 98 and brought it out to So. Cal in the early 2000's. Be cool to see some paperwork.

Dan's boat is easy to track since Phil Lipschutz www.lipshipperformance.com built it in Miami for original customer. Pretty sure Dan is the 3rd owner.
Ok @Tank And @H20 Toie he showed you his, what does Cig have on yours' ??

Yup 100hrs over that many years ain't much. My last boat was 100 hrs over 10 years. Basically new since stored indoors. Course with a Cig those 100 hrs could've been lotsa airtime ha

I would consider doing a gator step stripe down the deck.. they can put some pretty amazing Detail in them if necessary.
I'm thinking you may be an aficianado on slippery surfaces. I'd take that advice.

Bitchen to get info that's sofa-king old, the best part of the paper work imo is the weather description of the test drive.

air: 75*
sea condition: Rough
Wind: N+NE 15-25
Direction: N+NE

Perfect 👍

I remember seeing that boat off of I think mulberry? Guy also had an ambulance conversion he would drive around that matched.

I think he’s got a giant Campbell now.

Yes. He is the manager of the hospice of Lake Havasu and bought a big Campbell

I've been really happy with the way AJ did ours. It does show a little dirt and what not when kids are crawling all over it. but I just get the pressure washer out when done and pressure wash it all down, even the cabin! Comes out like brand new. Easy on the feet and looks good.

I absolutely love what Tank did with his Cafe. I’m really hoping to have mine out for DS22 myself.

Also Mindi mentioned the cafe on toy syndicate was sold to CRT and they are going to overhaul the whole boat and then sell it. Can’t wait to see what they do to it. Looks like the cig market just went up lol

I knew a guy at work who has a cigarette . Not sure of the model but one of the smaller ones maybe 28 footer. Anyway the previous owner had cut out the deck and put in a bow rider layout. I know that is stupid. So he took it to kornowski and had the boat put back to a closed deck. The resto is so good you can't even tell it was ever cut. Bad ass boat running blower motors.

28SS is a cool little boat. Built in the 70’s.

Nice lines.... I could see that as an open bow. I recall when I first got into all this ocean boating stuff listening to all the old timers @ West Marine warning me about taking a small 23' OB single screw across to Catalina.... not saying they weren't right but sometimes the beauty of being naturally dumb, uninformed and risky is you jump in and learn through seat time. All worked out just fine!

Oh I don't know.... I've learned the benefits of an OB layout.... All the honeys love it up there.

So fired the first painter who only finished the gray below the rub rails on both sides and the rear. Got a new guy who came in this last weekend and shot the Firecracker Red Jeep color on the top and sides, should have the rest of the black, white and gray finished by the end of the month, Finally making some progress.
