I know there a lot of trades in here. So I thought I would ask.

I know this changes by region. But I want to know if my estimates are close.

Looking for a 160x140 @6” pad for a building. Grading work and base would be done. Would Need reinforcements and forums, finish work. access to area is open/easy.

What prices per square foot would I be looking at?

You're looking at 400+ yards at 150.00 a yard, you might get a discount due to the amount of concrete you will be ordering.

Depends on what state. CA is pricey. I just poured 30 yard driveway yesterday. I would say $270K-336K depending on what size rebar and local prices.

Here it's $12-20 residential depending on steel, compaction, sealer and sq ft at 4" thick not 6".

Don't know about Texas, but Nicpaus is right where I would have guessed.
Concrete is the latest construction related problem to kick me in the junk! I have a project near Lake Arrowhead, no redi-mix concrete available, concrete plants shut down, no materials, not taking orders and have no time line as to when they will re open. We have had to hand mix over 800 bags in the last few days!

I had to pay cash yesterday to get mud. Robertson not taking orders or selling to the independent truck owners I use. AA only giving them 1 load a day and taking care of there big customers first.

My Pumper went above and beyond to get me mud. Supposedly another powder shortage.

In Texas I heard construction is out of control. Put your deposit on a house and next year hopefully it has not gone up when they start building it. Realtor just got back was trying to help her Son buy a place. Said she has never seen do many new developments. That might effect the prices unless you find a commercial only outfit.

Post up the steel size, spacing and I can figure material costs based on what I paid yesterday . Finishing it would be the variable and installation of rebar. I would hire a boom pump and finish crew instead of a concrete contractor if that is something you are comfortable with.

Just got quoted 197.00 a yard out of Kanab UT, with an additional 400 in tax and fees which makes it 240 a yard.

Just like @Pelon, I brought in 250 bags of readymix and started chucking them into the 10 sac gas powered mixer at 152 a yard net.

Thanks. I had estimated about $10 sq ft for concrete and finishing. Not including grading and base.

Had a metal building quoted 20k sq ft at 18’ with a 5k office that is lower (office not built out) 6” concrete, installed. $808,000 price good for 2 weeks. I don’t know what it is broken down for each part.

10-12 / Sq ft is what we pay for smaller patches but that is prevailing wages. Being private and in texas I would think you could get better pricing on larger square footage

You should see the amount of concrete being done in TX. Freaking crazy.

7-8 would be great but I think I’ll be closer to 10. I’ll budget 10 to be safe.

So frustrating trying just to get plans drawn, then submitted and approved. Months of waiting.

I'm just watching the costs go up every week for materials, overhead and labor.

Makes me just want to cash in and retire.

Mud availability is scary right now in LA. Had 300yd today, batch plant barely got it done. Another 400yd with same finisher job got cancelled at 6am. Batch plants really not committing to much for any of the jobs.

Getting concrete in SoCal is a nightmare right now.

I poured 4 jobs yesterday with 3 different ready mix companies. Today I am pouring 3 job's with 3 different ready mix companies. I had a big boom pump pour this morning and one of my competitors let me use his account to get mud. Always be nice to your enemies, you never know when you are going to call in a favor.
