Pretty sweet boat and great colors. Thought it was interesting being a cabin cruiser with outboards.

Formula had an example of that with 450's at Nashville. Beautiful boat!

Looks like Formulas 400 Super Sport Crossover

400feature-1.jpg

Introducing the Formula 400 Super Sport Crossover, a pivotal addition to the revolutionary Formula Crossover fleet – now five models strong and growing – that is rapidly changing the entire boating experience. Taking its cue from the phenomenal 430 SSC, the 400 combines confident Super Sport performance with Formula’s versatile open bow and cabin Crossover elements. Now boaters can venture beyond narrowly defined conventions and enjoy all that boating was meant to be!

At 40’ in length with a 12’ beam, the 400 SSC centers on the full-height windshield and coupe top design that encloses the entire width of the cockpit, allowing guests to move beyond the confines of a center console’s narrow, pilothouse tradition. The Formula Crossover SmartZone™ concept creates separate areas for a variety of activities while encouraging connections among guests, from the expansive bow to triple helm seating to the outdoor kitchen and U-shaped lounge aft with convertible rear-facing sunpad and extended swim platform. 400 SSC cabin accommodations offer amenities that are unprecedented in an open bow design, including a convertible dinette/sleeping berth plus aft stateroom bed, stand-up private head compartment and entertainment galley with sink and microwave. The FAS3Tech multi-step hull design with quad outboards delivers world renowned Formula performance. Break free in the newest addition to the Formula Crossover fleet, the Formula 400 Super Sport Crossover! https://www.formulaboats.com/400-super-sport-crossover/overview

They do have a 43' version too so maybe that's it...

Those formulas are bad ass. They move pretty good for the weight. A little big for the river but I would love to have one for Catalina.

Nice ride! Welcome to the board. You'll like it here, lots of great minds and good people...maybe 1 or 2 punks, but they keep it interesting;)

How does the Formula's price compare to this one? (When I'm dreaming I want to dream big)

The 59' with the 6 450's as equipped ran about 3.3....

Not sure of the Nor-Tech 450 with quads, but its significantly less...

Had the pleasure of riding on both. :)

...Significantly less...

Of course, it has 900 less ponies. The economy model:p

Quad 400's must sound like you're in the pack of a race...6?! I'd gladly run twins, have to start somewhere!

Believe me, the sound of one "old 400r" chasing you across the lake is guaranteed to put a permanent shit eating grin on your face....

Boat is Badass to say the least

One morning last week, I launched early and cruised by the boat on my way to the headwalk... If I had only known I would've.
Yes sir, that would work for me!

I'll gladly remove any of those old piles you have laying around...broken or seized...no charge at all;)

Thanks HH. I'd take the Nor-Tech 450 with quads for "significantly less" but I know that's still way beyond my financial comprehension. I'd get super nervous about paying 1-day's gas bill.

Is that you in the pics?

That's Carter... hes the guru behind the RDP videos. Specializes in the drone footage. Extremely talented young man, and a blast to hang out with!

I'm the bald guy with the "dad bod".:p:p:p that's in a few videos, and pics from Nashville.

First pic is me with John Cosker. Hes the marine architect and the vision behind Mystic...

Second pic is on the Wright Performance 420....

o_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

To say I had the opportunity of a lifetime is an understatement.

I got to drive the mystic.....:eek::D

We only went 98..... general manager "Ryan" on the throttles...:)

He started out as a rigger for mystic. Moved his way up in the company to GM speaks volumes of his abilities and history in boating. :)

Great folks everywhere we went!

Thanks HH for the follow-up info and your pics. You're lucky to have been there (in the boats) and getting some wheel time.

I had no idea you're another big dome, cue ball white guy (like me). Looks like your chrome dome is about as large as mine (and RD's) - I wear a size 8 hat because I can't get a 7 3/4 or 7 7/8.

The motors were all covered up - running in "stealth mode" - were those pics taken before the formal eggbeater introduction?

Hey, "Ethernet" - who are you - where you from/at? Can't figure out the "welcome" and "see you on the lake"

Motors had covers on them because it was still before they were "officially" released.
Media rides were Tuesday morning.
And yea... 7 5/8-7 3/4 for a hat...

Can't wear a ball cap frontwards either. :p

If I had to guess, I would say he is the owner of the "big outboard boat on lake mead" at least that is what I would do if I found pictures of my boat on the internet. lol

That stern railing, padded with the drink holders is a really nice touch! Makes it a great place to hang out.

very easy! Queen bed down below, dinning table makes into bed and both the bow and cockpit area have cushions to make full loungers for sleeping...
Gorgeous ride for sure!
If you dont mind a couple questions?
What props are on it, what are you seeing for performance #'s,
What's the cruise speed, what's the top end, what's your cruise fuel economy?
:D

Also, maybe a pic or two of the helm? I'd love to see if its equipped with joystick piloting, and or active trim?
Garmin's, or simrad?

Edit... I see tie bars on them. Doubt it's a joystick boat....
