Those pics make me wish I was there. Lake Mojave's beaches are 10X better than anything Havasu has. Thanks for the pics 100$man.

Pictures look great, thanks for posting. I will be out there in two weeks, launching from Willow Beach. Probably first and only trip of the year.

We're planning to be out there next week. The same plan, Thurs through Mon. We're planning to camp on the beach in your pictures. It's the one about 7 miles up above cottonwood. How are the water temperatures? I'm hoping there's still room on that beach when we get in on THursday. If you see the red and grey Eliminator, stop by and say hi. We're Rick and Cindy.

Nice pics Hundy. I wondered the same thing when I saw the Water Rod. Did not want to be the first one to say it. Just what we are use to seeing on the water not bashing your buddies boat or him. I like your boat alot nice deep hull for a 22'.:thumbsup

It is a 21 Blaze.. It was Nordics ski race boat before they brought the new ones over from Australia. It's a very harp looking boat and very fast for the given hp.. They didn't build very many of them. For a general play boat it would be hard to beat. For ski racing their new 21's are better.

I have never been in one before but have always wanted a ride in a blaze. I wanted to see how much different it rides the. A 22 sprint. Pete mitchell has one in Parker with a mild blower motor in it that runs 105'ish..

Thats is our normal hang-out beach--- we'll grab some of it on Thurs if possible.
The temps are up-- may high 70s--- good for swimming for sure.
Always room for one more! We shall see you guys out there!!! (I may squeeze in on you if you get a spot! lol)

I had never seen a WR 270 in person before last weekend. I had never heard anything before about 'who' owns a Water Rod-? I thought it looked a little 'different' when I saw it on the trailer, but it actually looked alot better on the water, and seemed to ride really nice. Lots of freeboard.
Michelle and I just sold our 28' Nordic, and got the 22'. I like the boat.... but when it gets ruff out we miss the 28'!

Correct. This one has a 496 mag in it and it runs 75mph plus. Good in the ruff for a 21' too. I think this one is a 2007 model (I may be off a yr)

We just went out from Willow Beach for the first time on Saturday. And I gotta say we absolutely loved it. Probably never going to Mead again, since its only a 40 min. drive from the house in Henderson. We went down to about a mile north of Nelson I believe. Like I said, had never been before. we will probably head back down there maybe on Sat or Mon.
It was a great place for our 20' jet. even on the ride back it was quite windy, it was still 95% better than every day Mead chop

I was thinkin the same thing!!! I have only seen those coming out of long beach and there has never been a white guy on any of them.

What is the story on those??

The story is more interesting when talking about the owner of B&H Water Rod. Holy shit what a fucking character. Ex drill sergeant with a potty mouth if I remember correctly. He sold boats the same way he would berate his troops. :D

I'm jet lagged and it's a long story. Let's just say his boats drive themselves: "Who gonna grab the mutha fuckin wheel?" lol I'll never forget that test drive. :)

Awesome.. LOL I still remember the story when you told it to me.. I thought his name was Scoopy though, not smoopy.

Other than Powell, upper Mohave is our favorite place on the entire River. We used to rent the houseboats out of Willow when they were brand new, water slides etc. Fed. Govt. shut the operation down. Declared it a "Flash Flood Zone". (Still kinda believe the Big Money of Seven Crowns & Forever Resorts may have had something to do with it). Believe those previous Willow house boats are now some of the run down house boats sitting in front of Havasu Springs marina. All we had then was a very old 140hp Tahiti. Only 12 gal tank. Towed the kids and ran all day on it. Good Times.

Smoopy, Scoopy...does it matter? It's the character that sticks in my mind as legend, not the name. For the record, however, I do believe that YOU are correct. :D

Another tidbit:
While talking about his superior construction methods, Scoopy mentions how strong the deck is.

"You wanna see just how tight this shit is? I'ma jump up & down on this mutha fuckin' deck wit my boots. Look at this shit!" (Scoopy is now getting about 2-3 feet of air while repeatedly jumping up and down on the deck while yelling). I'll give him this, that mutha fuckin' deck did not flex one bit.:party2:

Sometimes, you need to show the customer what the boat is really made out of. Other builders should take note and utilize Scoopy's sales methods instead of sorting drywall screw sizes.
