so have you been tested and if so why? We don't understand why anyone would get tested unless you were sick with the symptoms but we see cars lined up in the drive-through at CVS almost everyday waiting to get tested

Because you can carry it without symptoms, so you know to avoid getting others sick.

The firm that I consult for offered the antibody test, administered at the office, before people started coming back into the office in May.

Unfortunately, I did not have the bodies.

I have, once. I was around a SLEW of people (12 total) who had it, including direct contact (drinking from the same Champagne bottle in the back of the limo at a buddies wedding, and lived with another). 8 of them had no symptoms, neither did I, but I didn't want to quarantine for 15 fkn days. So, I got the a-tip shoved up my nose, and 3 days later I was given the all clear, and I resumed to my normal life.

Now in the interest of fair reporting, I am CERTAIN that I had it WAY early on, before it was even a thing. Same symptoms, was convinced I was going to die for 3 weeks, no taste or smell, huge weight loss, lots of trouble breathing, coughing like a 90 year old smoker, all of it. My lungs have not been the same since, and when this shit is finally over I am going to see a specialist to see if there is something that I can go to slow or stop the long term affects.

We were around a family member who tested positive and we quarantined for 2 weeks. The kids and I did not get tested, we had no illness or symptoms, etc... I felt there really was no reason to get a test as we were going to stay home anyways just for the sake of people around us. Hypothetically positive or not, we stayed home. My wife for whatever reason folded and got a test, probably because of chatting with her family. Anyways it turned out negative.

I was tested so could have a procedure back in June. Test was negative. Husband & I think the same , test negative, then could be positive in an hour😏. And if you feel fine even if positive and where your mask, how could you infect anyone?? Also, I had H1N1 and were 98% sure my husband had Covid back in January.
Thinking I’d like to get the antibody test.

We had it in January and have proof... One of my guys had a heart attack, they tested him and he was positive. So I paid to get both the antibody and test. 60% came back positive for the virus, we locked down and switched shifts and disinfected etc. No one got sick at all... We ALL tested positive for the antibodies that got tested and I can look at my calendar and see when we were all sick and how it moved through the shop. It was in America much earlier or people had it much earlier and no symptoms at all. We were all sick as dogs in January with a multi-week cough... I have had it / carried it twice, the first time (thus the antibodies) and the second time I tested positive with no symptoms.

Was told earlier from a business owner. If more than 30 employees if you are a employee and call out sick you have to test negative before returning to work. He said most are saying sick as they get paid until returning to work. Which is usually a few extra days for test results to come back. Milking the system for paid time off.

California thing? We have far more than 30 employees and it has never been mandatory here in Tucson. We have that policy as it's more reassuring to our clients. But a person only has to be paid while off getting a test or waiting for results if they were around a positive case. The hassle of having to get tested has definitely reduced guys calling out sick.

I have been tested twice. It brought back from repressed memories for how high that swab went up my nose. I have been tested because I was exposed to 2 positive cases on different occasions. Had to get tested to come back to work. Negative both times.

Now a days btw, no job sites get shut down and totally sanitized for days like they were at the beginning.

Can’t be accurate. I’m not allowed to request they test. I can only encourage them to do so.

I got tested a month ago prior to getting a colonoscopy. They did a quick swab of each nostril, not the brain tickler some of you have enjoyed/endured. Was negative on the test, and no polyps. So I was happy.

Wife has been tested multiple times due to direct exposure at work (nurse). My kids are sick and their doctor made them get tested last week before they could be seen. They came back negative but my son is still sick. He has a stomach issue that has been going on since last Saturday night so for over a week. I'm worried about him and we keep doing these telephonic appointments because of Covid. Thinking about just taking him to the ER to get a battery of tests done... Doc said they will want a sample on Wednesday if it hasnt cleared up. Still cant keep anything down today but hes eating and drinking its just running through him.

Do it. These stupid doctors do not care how sick you get. Take him in and make them deal with him. My girlfriend got REALLY sick because they wanted to do idiotic phone consultations and wait it out at home.

Seriously, do not wait. Stop letting them make your family sicker.

I go into work 1 day each week or as needed. We get tested every 2 weeks- tests are delivered to my house. You register the kit, swab your nose and then send the kit back via Fed Ex next day air and have the results within 48 hours.

When I am at work, you have to follow all directional flow across the campus and throughout all buildings. Before entering campus, we have to wear a mask at all times and also go through a thermal screen before proceeding.

My company originally told all employees that staff wouldn't retune back to campus until early January and now they are rethinking that and saying returning back sometime in Q2 is more realistic.

I have been telling everyone the same thing. It was out if china way before anyone knew there was covid. I work with a guy his ex and daughter were in wuhan in december. They got sick. In jan he was sick. A lot of people at work were sick in jan/ feb.i was sick too. No one hospitalized. I am in the middle ofthe country.

By the time the cdc knew what was going on it was to late.

I'm not putting my DNA in the government data base unless its absolutely necessary where I have obvious symptoms and need confirmation for treatment.

My doctor told me that there is so many people that are A-systamatic that will "never" show any systems of "any" kind. He said that there is a movement from doctors that dont believe that just because someone has this virus that it can be spread to everybody as well. He told me that it's like the flu every year, that millions of people have one of the strains in them, but it will never manifest into showing itself or making a person sick or spread from a person to person. He told me as well that on any year these strains of flu can kill these same people that covid is killing and have underlying problems.
I tend to believe what my doc has told me, that's because I've lived this scenario out. Back in March me and two of my buddies who hang out alot riding, boating and so on. Both of them ended up with this crap, got sick and was healed in four days. I ended with nothing, no systems at all. I dont wear a mask either. What I will say and do believe is that this is a mean little virus if you have severe conditions already. But so is the flu. I think that if you have any medical conditions that have been bad in the past, then you should take precautions everyday. Wear a mask! But life needs to be moving forward for the country/world. Just my .02!

So now the fact that you tested positive twice, does or did that turn into 2 new cases?

Haven't been tested, no need to. I heard a very interesting story yesterday from some people that have medical friends down in OC. The hospital they head up has a test kit that can diagnose covid, antibodies, and some other items I forget in a matter of a couple minutes but are being silenced on this test by the Ca czars over it because its supposedly really cheap. But they were claiming thats why OC is wide open vs everyone else. 🤷‍♂️

I also think it's true that covid doesn't do much more harm than the flu if you're healthy.

How do you know if you're healthy though? Only a blood test will tell. My shit was all out of whack years ago but I felt fine. I got it handled now though and feel 10x better. I get myself checked every 6-12 months. Do yourself a favor and spend a few hundred bucks here and get it done: https://www.ultalabtests.com/Shop/Items/Item/Baseline-Biomarkers-Comprehensive

Because you can carry it without symptoms, so you know to avoid getting others sick.
Wait so if you don’t feel sick, you should get tested Incase you might pass on your sickness that has no symptoms. So no one else will become sick and not know about it as well.

Solid strategy right there.

Nope, they can feel sick and show symptoms. I’m not a Dr. or claim to be real smart, this is what a lot of scientists and Dr’s seem to believe though...
Have you heard of someone being a carrier of Herpes, they don’t break out with it but can give it to others who can and do break out with it.
It lays dormant in some people.
Solid fuckin’ strategy or maybe just scientific hypotheses that have been around for a while?
