Every year Camp Chef has a Friends and Family sale at their warehouse in Logan, Utah. I had never been before, but figured what the hell.
Now, Traeger is also based out of Utah, I went to their warehouse sale a year ago and wasn't terribly impressed (And this was before I decided I completely despise Treager and the fucking garbage they sell, but that's a whole nother story) Anyway, at the Traeger sale the overpriced bullshit they peddle was marked down a little, but nothing to write home about. For instance, a $900 pellet grill was marked down to like $750 or so. I figured it would be about the same. Boy was I wrong!
I shit when I saw the prices! I got 2 Woodwind pellet grills for $200 each! They are $800 grills! The best price I could find online was $699.00 each. Camp Chef Yukon Camp Stoves for $40. Outdoor propane powered ovens with a two burner stove on top, regularly sell for $319, there was a huge stack of them for $50. We were right next to them waiting in line to buy our goods, I was looking at them and thought, I don't really need one, but that's a hell of a deal. Right then one of head honchos walked up and said "I'm tired of looking at these, they are now $20 a piece!
I figured I'd end up buying maybe a hat and some pellets, lol. Instead I went home with about three grand worth of stuff for $600
Funny thing is, none of it was for me!
(You listening Santa, you fat bastard?!)
So they have this sale once a year, usually the Friday before Thanksgiving. Now that I know what to expect, next year I'm bringing a trailer! We had my brother's rental van stuffed.
