I watched that game, crazy finish. I don’t know who was more shocked, Bishop Gorman or Hamilton. Some talented kids out there in that game.

Wow. what a finish. That’s right up there with last weekends NorCal stunner.
St Francis of Mt View upset De La Salle of Concord 31-28 ending De La Salle‘s 30 year unbeaten streak.
For those that don’t know, De La Salle was 316-0-2 against California schools North of Fresno Since 1991.
They also own the longest National win streak with 151 consecutive wins over 14 years From 1992-2004 against all schools. (the second longest streak is 72)
Since 1992 De La Salle is a 7x National Champion And 19x California State Champion.

I was a varsity HS starter for 4 years in my younger days at QB. But I was more of a Rudy type player- effort above talent. These kids nowadays are insane with their levels of talent and college offers as underclassmen. Whole nother game nowadays.

Pretty cool when you are the victor.
I remember the Chargers doing that to KC....back in the good ol' nfl days.

Fixed it for you. ; )

And fixed incorrectly. The article I linked says:

ALLEN, Texas — The Friday night lights dim for Allen High School football, as their 84-game winning streak was snapped.

The Eagles lost 41-20 against Atascocita, which is near Houston.

The upset continues as this is the first-ever loss at the $60 million Allen Eagle Stadium. The team is now 122-1 at home.

The last time the Eagles lost a home game was in 2010 at the team’s old stadium.

As I wrote, Allen had an 84 game regular season winning streak snapped by Astascocita. The loss also ended a 122 game home winning streak. They hadn't lost a regular season game in nine years, or a home game in eleven years.

Another article about the loss and their streaks:

Granted, the 84 game winning compilation was in regular season games, beginning in 2012. Allen has lost five times in the playoffs since 2015, the latest being 2020. They went undefeated and won the Division 6 (the highest classification) Texas state championship in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2017. The three consecutive championships were engineered by Kyler Murray, who went 42-0 in his high school career.

This is Eagle Stadium, the $60 million dollar home of the Allen Eagles.

But it's not the most expensive high school stadium in North Texas. This is the McKinney ISD football stadium, which is just three miles away from Eagle Stadium, cost $70 million, and was completed in 2019.

Frisco ISD has twelve high schools, and they play their home games at Toyota Stadium. FC Dallas, a MLS team, also plays its home games there.

Frisco ISD football teams also play home games at Ford Center at The Star, a 12,000 seat indoor stadium located on the Dallas Cowboys' $1.2 billion football operations headquarters, practice, training, and weight facilities complex on the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco. It's about six miles away from the Allen and McKinney stadiums.

High school football is serious stuff around here.

Hey 4R, Those Texas HS Football stadiums sure are impressive. Bet they could build a another HS for cost of one of those?

Nope. Recent construction costs for high schools in Frisco and McKinney have come in between $105 million and $120 million.
