Did crude oil just go below the price of bottled water?

A Bbl is 42 gallons. An average gallon of water at the store is a dollar to a dollar fifty.
At one dollar a gallon, a bbl of water is $42

Water is much more expensive than crude.
Has been for some time.

Printer ink averages out to almost $298,000.00 a bbl.

It’s funny how this means nothing to the average consumer beyond that PPG at the pump. What do you think it will be when “Putin oil and gas” is running the show?

That's it! everyone wants it cheap, only problem is when we stop making it, you think Russia and china is going to sell us jet fuel for our fighter jets and bunker fuel for air craft carriers if there is a war.

Those are options. I just added another 100 so 200 total. If it trades anywhere near $5 in the near short term, I should double my money. Hopefully. 😆 😆

Yea I found it now, Thanks.

I think the question of what happens when we literally run out of storage capacity is now officially on the table. Do we burn it? Dump it?

The Russians and the Saudis thought it would be good to start pumping as much as possible to crush the markets. Mission accomplished. Did they create the world's biggest environmental disaster in the process?

Probably a stupid question but...

Can you pump oil back into the ground?

I don’t think most people realize how far reaching the energy industry and its supporting infrastructures goes, this is gonna hurt a lot of people. I hope this crap turns around soon. :(

Oil was down to under $10 this morning. About $10,50 right now.

“ Storage, therefore, is filling fast everywhere around the world. In the United States, the prices of some grades in Texas were nearing negative territory as early as last week, with customers bidding to pay only $2 per barrel for South Texas Sour and $4.12 a barrel Upper Texas Gulf Coast last week, Bloomberg reported, citing pricing bulletins.”

It's a long squeeze as today was option expiry. Look for a few hedge funds to be BK shortly.
