I'm no expert on GT's, but those look more like replica kits to me.
Interesting, guess i need to look into replicas.. I always assume Cobra’s are fake when they’re on the road. Didn’t realize the fake GT market was a thing.
A neighbor down the street sold his GT40 “kit car” for $175k a few years back. The market is there, and it can be strong. 🏋️‍♂️

Right here is where the New Carissa ran aground. Could see it from their living room until they pulled it out. Grandma actually watched it as it ran aground!

How are you hanging those?
Almost all of them are just “wall hangers” now.
I removed(and kept) all the skegs and mounted them with 2 drywall screws in each.
For the ones I still ski on, like the Feather Glide, I slotted the drywall for the skeg and installed a combination 1/4 20 stud/lag bolt.
Screwed the lag end in a stud, slid a piece of tubing over the exposed threads, made a pivot piece from some 3/16 aluminum and put a nut on it to tighten it down.
Seems to work real well.

Well shit. I was hoping for a solution that wouldn't take me 3 days. ;)

Just realized the wife set up the trip to hit everything in Vegas that she enjoys. Sad because she is with her mom and did not make it.

Water was excellent today. We launched at Windsor, came around the island and ate lunch at the Turtle, ran down to Havasu Springs, back up through the channel to Topock (for a brew) and then back down to Windsor. Really a great day.

Thank you.
Just trying to have a little fun and make something that reminds me what a cool sport this is.
Anyone that wants to have something like this made, let me know and I’ll make a piece up for ya!
Here’s a few other pieces I’ve made.

On my drive back to the yard today in my old stomping grounds, Topanga Canyon just north of PCH, single veh, single unrestrained occupant. Patient and all extremities remained in the vehicle, patient was alert and appeared to have minor injuries, I decided to leave the patient in the vehicle since they were alert but in a precarious position and I was the only trained person on scene until Fire arrived.

What is so difficult about buckling up ? It's such a matter of habit for me, I feel naked if I drive through a parking lot with it off.
