What kinda boat is that? Love how wide the beam is.
Ours is a 2018 non-surf series so it has a Merc 6.2 with a Bravo 3, but the link gives you a good idea of the layout. I long for a true West Coast deck boat with the impeccable quality and rigging, but the layout of this boat with kids is awfully hard to beat and for the Midwest the comfort and access off the back just makes sense for us.

Maybe once our girls get a bit older I'll just send it out to Havasu and have it torn down to the bare bones and rebuilt and turned into something special. Its built like an entry level RV is, but it floats great, skis, and tubes awesome and we enjoy the hell outta it and there isn't anything out there with the layout like this that I'm aware of and is rated for 13 peeps in 23 feet.

So my boy just turned 6. Kid has some pretty legit athleticism. I personal don't care if it's sports or camping but he really likes baseball and golf and yes I have nudged him those directions for a number of reasons. We play catch most nights. He has got pretty good at catch but took his 1st to the face tonight. Freaked him out for a second but he is a tough kid.

If you give a boy a baseball, he will want a bat to go with it.
You’ll buy him the best bat you can find, and then he will probably want a bucket of balls and a glove and some cleats too.
When he realizes he cannot carry all these things with his own two hands, he will want a batbag – in his favorite colors of course.
Then, he will probably spend hours begging you to go out in the yard to play with his bat, glove and balls, even though you may want to sit on the couch and watch football. He will insist. And his insistence will win.
Next, the backyard will get too small, and he will want to see how far he can hit a ball with his new bat wearing his new jersey, and he will want you to drive him to the baseball field.
And when a boy gets a jersey, he will want pants and socks and a belt to go with it. And a TEAM…..
And then life as you know it will end.
There will be no more lazy weekends watching football. You will see more sunrises than you ever thought possible. Every spare minute of your time will spent hauling buckets and bags and stinky cleats and rowdy boys all over the place to play baseball.
Your backyard will be transformed from a neatly mowed place to hang out on the weekends to an overgrown week speckled faux practice field complete with bases and pitching machine. And your house may be a mess. And your car may be dirty. All because you gave a boy a baseball.
Your weekends will be spent grueling it out on a fold up chair. And his weekends will be spent gaining confidence and friends, and learning new skills and having fun and getting dirty. So dirty in fact that you will have to learn how to do laundry in a whole new way, like maybe at a carwash using the pressure washer.
And you will be there the day he hits his first home run, or makes his first double play. And he will make you SO proud. So proud that you will get him ice cream, and his coach will give him a game ball.
And right before your eyes, your little boy will be transformed into a baseball playing beast, who set aside a hot wheel one day long ago simply because you gave him a baseball , a bat, and glove and a batbag and jersey to go with it.
When you give a boy a baseball , you give him more than just a ball. You give him a sport, and a talent, and hope, and dreams, and friends, a new family, a place to learn about life, room to grow as a person where he can push his limits, and bravery, and courage and LIFE, and memories. And he will have ALL of these things, simply because you gave a boy a baseball and a jersey!
Then one day, many years from today….he will be in his room and a baseball will roll out from an old dusty batbag underneath his bed. And he will pick it up and realize instantly that when you gave that boy a baseball, you also gave him a childhood that he would never forget. And then he will hug you, and your eyes may leak – because you realize that everything YOU gave up along the way…..was worth it!
All because you gave a boy a baseball

Drop a curve on him 😬.
I really miss those days. Our family rule is we couldn’t say no when they asked to play catch. Fun times.

Friends stacker car hauler arrived this morning. Friggin thing cost nearly 200K cdn. Loading the Stohr racecar is still a biotch, with less than 3/4 of an inch ground clearance, need to use old school method with some wooden planks. lol
