@cyclone I saw your dad passed yesterday. May your dad Rest In Peace.
thank you all. I was able to see him briefly at the funeral home last night, which helped me a lot.
Barry-Dad looks hammered in that pic, which is why it's my favorite. I've never seen my dad drunk before. lol
That week was magic. last road trip i was able to take with my old man. getting to race in front of him was the icing on the cake.
wow. i forgot all about writing that. i'm gonna have to go find a copy. thank you!Mike, I don't know you but I remember you writing a article back in the day for Hot Boat. It was basically thanking your father for taking you out to the river and turning you on to boats. When I read that article I felt exactly the same way towards my father, I even ripped out the page and gave it to him. He actually had it framed and hung it on his wall. It was lost when we moved him into a assisted living facility.
Just thought I would share.
It sounds like your father was a great guy! May he rest in peace!

thanks for all of your help and guidance barry. that was the best weekend.Good times! Remember them always, I know I will. It meant a lot to me to be part of the team that weekend, and I had a pretty good feeling of the situation at the time.
