It's a pretty unique boat. I've seen it briefly in person and it struck me as a pretty sweet ride

I don't want to down talk anyone's boat and the idea of a tunnel v-drive sounds good but in my opinion is not proven. I think you'll be happier putting that big motor in an old ski-race boat. Think 19' Hallett or 20' Schiada for less money. There are a couple of good ones on here that will handle that power well. http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo...' SS V Drive&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13708281885808
or 20 Hallett V-driver turbo 400 454 in the fresh & salt section.

I own a 21' MTR v-drive, The boat handles very well at low speed as well as high speed. Cougar was the first to perfect the v-drive in the 21' tunnel and Elimiator had a very similar hull (almost identical). However, I am only running 425 hp big block at about 70 mph, and it can be similar to driving a trophy truck when in rough water. If you are planning on using 1,400 + HP in a 900 lb boat, you should look up a guy called "unchained" on the performance boat/ hot boat forums. He has a bad ass 21 daytona. And he has a ton of info that will help you.

Good luck man!
