So I have given up on the auto meter trim gauge. I’m going with a stainless marine heads up mechanical.
But to cut into the top of the dash ,the canopy will need to come off.
Anybody done it, it looks like there is some kind of pad between the boat and the canopy where it rides against the fiberglass. Anyone know what this is? Maybe 1/16” thick? 1 1/2” wide. My old 03 looks like it is deteriorating and needs to be replaced anyway.
I would also like to upgrade the screws and button head covers with some nice looking polished stainless hardware. Any suggestions?
Lastly is there a compound to polish the canopy to make it more clear/less distorted? Or is the distortion through the plexiglass?
