Don’t lift it or over-tire it......you’re re-sale value will drop in half and you will be changing tires and brakes every 10,000 miles...plus you’ll look like a 16 year old boy.
Yeah..... Neither are true. The lift may reduce the number of people interested when they sell it, but it likely will not reduce the sales price. Tire wear is much more closely related to load, tire wear rating, and alignment. Not size or lift.
I would have drive it until the wheels fall off. Not many trucks make 200k any more. Every one is amazed I have 360k on mine.
Not sure where you are getting that statistic from. I've seen MANY of trucks built after 2000 that way up there in miles.

GM wheels wells, and huge bumpers don’t allow for 37’s without going 8”+. You can do it, but major trimming, and offset wheels are required. The brand new ones are not much different than the past two body styles as far as clearances go with the square fender openings. Unfortunately, unlike the new F-250/350’s you can’t go level with 37’s. My ‘08 is sitting 7.5” lift on 35’s and it works/looks right. 37’s look bitchen, just takes a lot more trimming.

We will see when CST is done but I’m pretty sure with their 4” a 37 will fit perfect. The pic I shared above isn’t even all the way up on leveling keys and we put 35/12.50’s on it.

How is it when at full lock and full bump? I hate going over a bump when turning and the tire rubs like hell. Just annoying to me.

I've been a CST fan since 2000. Bought a 2000 GMC 1/2 ton from Harden with a CST 6" lift on BFG ATs 35" and Weld wheels. I had them put new springs on the rear to get rid of the blocks.(I hate Blocks) Put over 200,000 mi on that truck and only went threw 3 sets of tires. Bought a 2005 2500HD when I moved to Az and never had any mods done to this truck left it stock because it would be too high for my 5'r trailer. Bought a 2018 GMC All Terrain 3500HD SRT last year and had CST install leveling keys, pitman & idler arm supports. Truck sits level and perfect height for my trailer.
I haven't sole the 2005 and probably never will, been trying to get it to CST for the same treatment as the 18 along with wheel, tires & shocks. Carry has given me excellent quotes, just need to hit one of the Saturdays they are open.

Bottom line CST has always stood behind their products, fair with the price and I never worry about the quality of the install.

Picture taken at Privet Collection Auto Care in Glendale Ca. where they installed full clear bra from the Grill to the front doors, three coat life time Ceramic coating exterior and coated the interior as well.

Great looking truck!! Thanks for the input about CST! They are one of our top choices.

We had a 6" RCD lift on our last truck and, much like your experience, had zero issues. It appears that they are out of business now though.

Yeah that’s exactly what I get with my 5.3, leveled on 33’s.
But I was right at 18 when stock.

KEEP IN MIND that larger diameter tires rotate less than stock...trip meter might be a little off just like your speedo

Nice truck!! I think it will look good with "true" 35" tires, keep in mind not all tires measure out to the stated height. My old Dick Cepek 35 actually measured 33 1/2 and the new pitbull 37s are closer at 36 1/2

We do level lifts for the dealers by us so that usually won't especially at those dealerships. Some lift companies have a 5year 60K mile drive train warranty that usually will cover anything that the dealership says was caused by the lift.
Don't the torsion keys cause the front to hop around a bit? I thought that's why cognito replaces the A arms. Hell IDK

I haven't heard about a hop but what happens if you go over a big bump like in an alley or something then the stock upper arm will hit the bump stop and that is the biggest complaint from customers. To remedy that you can run an aftermarket UCA.

Yup, it really reduces down-travel, and will ride like crap compared to a done-right solution with new UCA’s.

I have to ask, what is the purpose of the lift? Beyond "The look" what real advantage is there to it?

For some like us at Echo lodge it makes our launch ramp useable at all times. My new truck the bed is damn near under water before the boat floats depending on the water level.

The old man Snowbird Steps, which will burn your shin like a m-effer after sitting in the Arizona sun, are gone. AMP steps installed today.

For sale: 1 set of Snowbird Steps. Lol

How about real world fuel economy numbers? Have you towed the sled yet? Around town?

Looks like almost 15mpg. [emoji1303] We haven't towed the boat except to the ramp from our place. Won't tow the sled home until winter.

On another note, starting the truck with my phone is my favorite feature thus far. And to think I thought remote start was cool on the other truck... lol

I watched that video earlier too! Lol

My guy was all set to do the torsion keys and then heard from a colleague that they did it on a 2020 and something went wrong. I don't know much more other than I don't want his words of "smoked the front end" to ever apply to my truck. I was ready to pay to have it done and I respect that the guy suggested we wait. Sounds like the lifts should be out shortly after Sema in Nov....

Yeah I agree that I'd wait a while too. First year everything costs more and usually there's better equipment available a year or two in.

I saw a 2019 over the weekend that had a BDS leveling kit that had the Fox coil over shocks with the torsion bars removed..the truck was sitting on 35x12.5 with method wheels and looked amazing. Perfect height for a daily driver. Talked to the guy said it rode fantastic.
I would seriously looking into the BDS kit.
I can say that if I lift my new one it will most likely be the BDS Coil over set up.

One of the best upgrades on the Suburban was installing the Viper Smartstart to start the car from anywhere. Cool down the suburban on the way back to the ramp so it’s nice and cool to hop into after wiping down the boat!

Just make sure to crack open the windows a bit. The first time we did it, one of the windows got a crack. Window guy said it was from extreme heat and cold with no way for the heat to escape.

Can’t wait to see all the upgrades in this thread!

my truck is leveled, I moved the diff down a little so the CV angle isn't as extreme, possible on GM's?

9 friggen weeks to get the lift from CST. So frustrating, but today I feel like the wait was worth it. Loving the way she turned out!

4" CST lift
37 Nitto Ridge Grapplers
20" Fuel Throttles

I like that you don’t need to do the torsion drop and see all that under the truck. Looks stock appearing but better. Well done Cheers!

Looks good! What did the kit consist of? Just a taller upright, new shocks, upper arm and blocks for the rear?
