This video explains that really well, from a Blackhawk Instructor. His theory in this video makes a lot of sense, and is very plausible. He does say he is not an NTSB inspector, so he is not stating as fact.

I came to the same conclusion the day CNN released that video. You could tell the helicopter took off the aircraft's left wing.

That was a great explanation of events.
What a horrendous last couple minutes of life for those people. Very sad.
RIP to all who's lives were lost..
May god comfort those grieving the loss of loved ones.

Went in and out of DCA Tuesday night. Landing/Departing north. Recovery ops clearly visible off the approach end of 33. Very solemn mood.

So much utter bullshit being spewed by self proclaimed "Aviation Experts."

One known truth:

“Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity or neglect.”

The NTSB spokesperson confirmed the plane increased pitch at the last second (via the flight data recorder).

May They RIP.

Hard to see on my phone.

Was wondering if the impact would of killed the occupants of the plane. Or they would of drowned trapped in the wreckage of the plane?

The plane was travelling over 150 MPH at impact, broke into pieces, and hit the water. I doubt anyone survived that.

Not to mention the water was only 7ft deep, they hit ground not water
