There has been a few threads on de-ionized water. This one had a lot of information.

I have the simple chuck system. It works great but the refill cartridges are stupid expensive and they seem to keep going up in price. It does a great spot free job but I’m starting to think it’s too expensive

Idk where your out of but I have a pure Tec bottle at my house for our cars and 1 at my shop for my semi and I pay $15 a month for each bottle and I believe $45 to get the bottles replenished. I get about 1000 gallons out of the bottle I have. They are worth every penny.

Simple Chuck on DIY cart. pressure washer and by-pass valves
bout $500 initial investment. 150 for refills, I've only needed once annually, your usage may vary. mine gets used a lot!
