Was gonna ask if anyone doing any rides other than the poker run this weekend. Wasn’t looking like was gonna be up this weekend so didn’t buy a desert bash ticket but may be in town after all.

Do you need tickets to get into the event area or are the tickets just for the poker run? Have some friends in town that want to go for a ride Saturday and deciding on going North to Bunker or South and check out the event without participating in run. I see Mudfish is playing and that is always a good time!

There will be 200+ sxs down south and very crowded and if you are headed the opposite direction things might suck. But no you can do the run without the ticket. They may try to stop you but they can’t because it’s not a race and no closed to the public

Thanks for the reply, BP. Good point as the last thing I would want is to end up on the same trail as the run, especially going opposite direction. Will probably do an early ride north to Bunker and then maybe take the Jeep down to Standard in the evening to see the bands play if that is an option.

No kidding. Spent the entire week with him and his team. He flew back to Atl. I went back to Ont and drove to Havasu. He doesn’t mess around. It goes til 3:30 our time. Guessing it won’t end on time.

Clicked off 60 miles today to topock and back. Likely going to offroad early morning from north side to south side for the run tomorrow!

I can not confirm that from my vantage point of the said dust bowl. But I can confirm that once I cleaned my googles at 3pm the sun was still out.

The pace of this RDP group was perfect for the event.

I've got to nut and bolt my rig after that beating. Shit was falling off by the first checkpoint. LOL

Gave me PTSD of some Parker 425 limited-class racing. I was thankful we rolled into camp with the sun still up, and I did not have a team telling me good job on LAP 1 only three more to go.

First few miles were real dusty.
Just after checkpoint two a car in front of us broke. After an hour of trying a trail fix, we continued on. Called in for a ride for them.
About a mile from the finish area, my car had a violent driveline grind. Threw it in neutral and got towed in by my FIL.
I think it’s the driveshaft/coupler.
Overall a fun time.
My brother had 3 Q’s and an Ace and was hoping for another Q or A at the last checkpoint but he got a king.
My FIL had the worst hand. Good times.

Trailered in and unloaded at 8am. The start line was long. We unloaded, got in line and started rolling right away. We were past the starting line by 830.
Saw some peeps at first card stop (was looking forward to meeting several more of you guys) but missed the chance I guess.
We cruised from card stop to card stop without any issues and nobody in sight for most of our adventure.

We checked in at last card stop around 130pm. Turned in 6 shitty card hands!

Nice times. We were on a little different route started about 15 minutes later with ending I think just before 4pm. As for our hand…..it sucked too. Looks like you got some good pics of the good times.
