Had a nice run out to the Desert Cabin on Wednesday 11/15/17. Saw only 3 other vehicles all day, in one group of SxSs. From Standard Wash we ran West Mohave Wash going out and Middle Mohave coming back. Great ride, perfect weather.

The kiosk at the Standard Wash Rec area has a posted map that includes the Desert Cabin. There are a number of routes that will take you there. Each are about 20-25 miles, one way.

When the question of this cabin location was discussed previously, somebody posted this Google maps image showing the lat/lon which you might find useful for checking out the various trails.

RD and a group of us found a bar top someone built out in the desert near Topoc called Margarita flats.
We need to organize a day run out there.
West side of the 95 trail is far smoother than the East side. And the south side of the 40 less whoops and wash board too.

That’s the Taco Stand.

It's actually worth going to now because there's a grill there. Just need food and charcoil.

It’s got lights and a plug to hook into a generator too.

The taco stand is gone. Someone burned it down. Only one of the benches remained last weekend.

Yep, I was out there Thanksgiving weekend and the story I heard was some guy out there claims it is his private property?
