Hi, this is Mrs. RogerThat99 and I have taken over my husband's computer.

I have a dilemma... We have room reservations for Desert Storm and it is our 15th Wedding Aniversary on Thurday the 26th. Over a very nice dinner this weekend, my husband proceeds to tell me that he really wants me to go to DS with him, but that he can travel much easier without me. WTF?? I guess, according to him, I am extra baggage that would slow him down in his travels. So what do I do? It is definitely difficult to find find someone to watch our kids for 5 days. In some ways it would be easier for me to stay behind and just let him go, which I am willing to do being the great wife that I am. BUT... I don't want to miss out on a great time!!! What are your thoughts?

I love spending time with her (yes we go on long walks in the park and sipping wine at sunset listening to love songs), however she isn't big on long road trips for just a couple of days, plus we have to find someone to watch the kids. It is no big deal for me to be in the car that long. She wants me to be there for the street party and if she doesn't go, I wouldn't feel right about being gone on our anniversary...so I would miss the street party and drive most of the day on Friday. If we can swing it for her to go, it would be a double win. We would get to spend time together and make it to the street party. So Mrs, the ball is in your court. Are you going to step up and go? I hope you do.

Here is my advice, I think it is the same advice my wife Cindy would give you.
Go with him.
Get the child care sorted out and go.
Life is short, sometimes shorter than we all think. While we are busy working our tails off planning for "the good times" time goes screaming by.
Live.
Go with him, have a good time, enjoy just being a couple again.

We went out for a nice dinner and night out last weekend to celebrate. I bought her a ring with a few scraps of Diamond in it. She told me she wants me to go and have a great time...and if I'm going, I have to be there for the Street Party. What a great wife!!! Now I just need to decide if I feel right being away partying it up on our actual anniversary... What to do??
