I would guess that the workers thought it was pretty cool, but it may depend on what the workers were doing. I was at the Big Cat run years ago and we got slightly roosted by a Skater in a similar setup while idling through a channel and we all thought it was badass. The Skater wasn't trying to roost us, but he wasn't going very fast so the rooster tail was big, and in the narrow channel he didn't have much choice but to pass close by.

If that was the scenario, that's kinda sad. My little outboard can throw a tail twice that high if I really want to. Plus, you think they knew there were guys working within the thickness of the bridge on the backside?
