Besides the obvious 1 foot in length. What are the differences? How do they run in comparison to each other?

Not sure about being same length but there are to different decks. Tall deck and not sure what they call it but a short deck. Imo the tall deck is much prettier.

They are the exact same length.
I went through this when deciding my purchase.
The 26 has more room behind the front seats. So if you like to stand up behind the front seats for ANY reason buy the 26.
The 27 is said to be faster with the same HP. I haven't noticed this with my boat.
I think the center of gravity is farther back on the 27. The 26 and 27 are a little bow heavy as in that the COG is too far forward.

I never saw a TD in the 26 or 27. But have seen it in the 28 and up.

I think the difference in the deck is the style of windshield.

I can’t see a difference from pictures but I’m sure up close it would be easy to tell differences.

I Believe the 27' is a 102" width,the 26' is a 108" width, like my 28' was a 108" width.

According to an old brochure I have the 26 and the 27 are listed at 26' 10", beam of 100" for both. Aprox. weight 4500 for the 27, 4400 for the 26. Gas tank 116 gal. for the 27 and 90 for the 26. Just for reference the beam is 108" on the 28 and 96" on the 25.

What about weight difference? I always used to compare leg room for passengers in back seat too.

That’s what it says on the website but why 2 boats virtually the same?

I really don't know the evolution of the two tops. I've heard the 26 make a better walk on front walk thru, and the bottom has been improved at least once. Maybe Gary or Gelcoater will comment. Actually I guess there's several tops for the 27 not sure about the 26.

I've had a 26' Daytona and now have a 27' Daytona. The bottoms are the same and come from the same mold. The 26 only has 1 deck ICC and the 27 has 2 decks to choose from, the Standard Deck (like mine) windshields and the ICC with the canopies. The 26 has more of a square shape for the rear of the boat, the engine hatch and transom where the 27 has a more round appearance. IMHO there is a significant difference in the way they ride as the 27 works a lot better at taking the slop of Havasu and the handling in medium to high speed turns. I absolutely love my 27 and feel it is the perfect size single engine cat for California and Arizona lakes.
