Trying to finish this DiMarco in time for Billy’B show. Boat is all original, with a high rise side oiler, Holman/Moody cast alum. V drive pan, oil cooler, timing cover and intake with Webers.

I can remember seeing this boat (yellow and black gel scheme - have never seen another one like it.) being rigged at Gene Deavers shop (Deavers Custom Marine) on Sheldon and San Fernando Rd., in Sun Valley, Ca., back in 1975. I had just purchased a 1968 Sanger flatbottom, and Gene was helping me convert my Finishline control handle for the plate, to one of his down peddle assemblies. In the first photo, I can see the same down peddle installed in this boat, that Gene helped me with in my Sanger. The driver's seat brackets in the Di Marco exhibit the clasic Deaver lightening holes, that were one of his trade marks of the parts that he fabricated. The boat sits on a early Ellis trailer.
The third photo shows some stainless braided water lines, which are stainless braided covered teflon line with polished stainless steel reusable hose ends, another clasic Deaver trade mark.
The fourth photo exhibits the Deaver motor feet/blocks (all edges which didn't come in contact with a plate or rail, are machine radiused, and the bolts counter sunk) which attach the motor plates to the engine rails. This was before the triangle feet became popular. The photo also shows the one piece eye bolts that Deavers used for the plate return springs (not the typical large eye bolts you see from Home Desperate), and the heavey duty cavatation plate rod guides, and the four bolt square rod stop.
The fifth photo exhibits again the clasic Deaver lightening holes in the transome back up plate (Gene used the cores removed from the holes with a holesaw as stringer washers). Gene also fabricated the pillow blocks, transome bar, and the stand offs for the turn buckles. This boat is a beautiful 1974/75 time capsule, and example of Gene Deaver's rigging work, Sonny DiMarco's hull manufacturing skills, and the tallents of Bob Ellis (Ellis Custom Trailers). The boat originally belonged to Scotty McCally (sp) who is Marry Rife's (Proud Mary BFH) second husband.

I’d love to hear about the fuel intake set up on this motor...

Are you sure that your dad's Di Marco is a runner bottom??? The last photo you posted of it, shows a very flat cavation plate (no changes in plate height for the runner tunnels) thus indicating the boat is a flat flat, and not a runner bottom.
You are absolutely correct. My brain went to "full stringer".
