I could use one 18" or even 24" but I don't know if a blade that long would be safe. I'm willing to give it a go, though.
I have never seen anything larger than 12"
Weld two 12" together...problem solved.

Dare I ask what it is you're trying to cut?

Depends on what you are cutting though.
Check in the lighter side..
Don't rule out the good old carpenter's hand saw and there's those hand operated cable saws that have D-handles on each end with an abrasive cable. Just thinking outloud.(almost)
What are you making? Sounds decorative.

P.S. The weld will fuck up the blade's hardness so keep that in mind.
You forgot to tell him to change out of his school clothes firstI hope you have a long stroke Sawzall. They are miserable for cutting tree branches. Skill makes a blade for this but you would need to weld two blades together. It will be real hard on the saw and if this is you standing on a ladder I would not. Thats a bunch of engagement of the saw. If it binds you could fall (pulled off). I've seen it more than once.
Sounds ovary motherly I know but the reason for short stroke sawzall is to avoid the major jerk and pull? That would make the job take forever plus 3 lifetimes with a 1" stroke saw.
If its not over your head tell me so I can stop crying with worry.
