When I lost Neva it broke me as a person.. Loved that dog like it was one of my kids. It was about then why I realized why old school people don't get that attached to dogs. Got her as a puppy so young she couldn't cross a threshold, and was with me just about everywhere until her last day.
I think the term "broken" is exactly right. What's worse is our remaining pup (Floyd) who spent 10+ yrs with Gunner as a brother is a different dog. He just doesn't seem happy and seems lost If ya got 20 min to kill...I put this together as a forced therapy...to remember all the good times with him vs just thinking about the loss.

This is Jax. He died in the Vets waiting room at 12 years old when we were taking him in for a checkup. He died while we were talking to the vet.
