A few weeks ago, you started a thread about personalized plates. The DMV denied your request. Did they still charge you? I just got off the phone with the DMV who said that they wouldn't allow me to have "1ST DUST". But get this, I don't get my $90 back. Allegedly, the small print says no refunds if it's denied! So I'm wondering if you guys had the same issue. I've got my state senator's office working on it. I am flabbergasted that they would keep the money. I'm definitely going to the press as well.

When tried to get a personalized plate last year I tried for "RIDN YOU" since have been accused of being a tailgater. They denied it like figured they would and they refunded me my money.

Did they just refund it automatically? Or did you have to call the perpetually busy number? I've tried this number 4-5 times for the last 4 weeks. It's busy every time, no matter the time of day.

I ordered it online. There has been no refund to my credit card. Only the withdrawal from it back in December.

I ordered DZRTRDR online, and called once about 3 months later. They told me they were backlogged, and I should get the plates in a few months. A couple months later I call again, and they tell me the plate was denied becasue it could be offensive. (WHATEVER!!! :swear ) And about a week after that I got a formal letter telling me it was denied. They did refund my money that same week, surprisingly enough!

They should refund your money as well. :fsakes

We got a notice that they were going to refund the money in 4-6 weeks I think. Desertgirl will know more.

I think its a bunch of BS. They are also so swamped that I think they are just denieng everything.

I wonder why the guy told me that I wouldn't get my money back? He said it was in the fine print and was apologetic, and you could tell by the way he said it he knew he was going to get a firestorm his way. However, I did not curse at him

I looked on the pages I ordered it and in the FAQs. Nowhere does it say you won't get your refund. Supposedly a supervisor will call me back either today or tomorrow. I won't hold my breath for that one. However, I did already get a call back from Senator Hollingsworth's office. She just wanted to let me know she was still working on it, but was leaving the office at one and wouldn't be able to call me back until tomorrow morning.
