Ellis Trailer VIN # location

Any body familiar with the location of the VIN # on an Ellis boat trailer built in 1999/2000?

I have the VIN # on the trailer registration but can’t locate it on the trailer itself.

Maybe someone familiar with the trailers or a good place to start looking might be of some help?
