I borrowed one today at Eliminator from Timmy the rigger.
The outside temp was about 103-104.
In the rigging area inside the shop, with their new bad ass swamp cooler on full blast, at the far end of the rigging line boats were about 97 degrees. Closer to the cooler 95-96.
In the gelcoat shop, the mold I finished spraying an hour earlier read 106
In the metal building where I was taping, in the shade all day, it read 108.
Outside, in the sun for several hours, a silver and dark blue boat read 148 on silver, 156 on blue.
A white boat next to it with metallic charcoal, yellow and blue.
Charcoal was an equal to the blue at 156, yellow was 142, white was 136.
Didn’t have a boat with black in the sun but I imagine it would be 165+ easy.
Sort of shocking how hot they get considering it was sort of mild climate compared to the river.
I really couldn’t imagine having a boat with black in it?
