Such a great movie, if there were to remake it today can you imagine. The world keeps getting crazier.

Hellz yes, cool flick. Will have to check it out this weekend.

A few years before that movie came out, and although I lived in Riverside, I took a position in DTLA.

Fast forward 30-years later and at the start of the pandemic - I took another job in DTLA... and I still live in Riverside.

I could be that guy soon! 😳

Best movie of all time -- everytime I watch it I put on my favorite white short sleeved dress shirt and pocket-protector. After it's over I feel compelled to go out and take a long walk with my old briefcase and a homemade ham sandwich on white bread and an apple inside. I especially liked the reference to the police detective retiring to Lake Havasu.

Great movie. To be honest, it's a precursor as to what's to come when the Socialist douchebags get their way. But for now, we will just call it a classic movie.

Part of the reason I left the LA area, and don't like going back. I knew my temper, and figured at some point I would redline and blow a gasket. Either a massive heart attack, or a day in the headlines. Either way, it wouldn't have been good for my kids.

Sometimes it's best to walk away...
but you'll always know how he felt in that flic.

I watched it again too! 2.99 on Amazon. Loved it, thanks for the reminder.

I'm trolling eBay looking for one of those Garfield cats and a butterfly knife :)

What most people didn’t understand was that the movie was a comedy. A dark one but a comedy.

I'm almost afraid to watch that movie anymore. On two separate occasions at two different venues I was voted "MOST LIKELY TO GO POSTAL" and lately I've been kind of feeling it.
Yessir, I understand completely. I've decided to try and vent a little more these days.
Kind of like the burst panel on a blower motor. Sure, some noise and some fire...but not the "scorched earth" of scattering the motor 😏

One of my favorite Bobby Duvall roles:
“My wife wants to move to this little town with a puddle and a bridge over it” (Havasu) lol

The Pendergrass character is the real deal, been there.
My favorite clip: When he decks the Dick tective talking trash on his wife. That’s the way Cops handled business till about 2005

[emoji3][emoji3] That is great.

You got it backwards though. The tuff guy caddy is buying the coke, and Danny is working the window.

Hmmm, in the movie "Colors" his character was also retiring to Havasu. I sense a theme...

The fact that you’re aware of it disqualifies you.
