This is what it's all about!
I did a little time working for HomeDepot, after retirement. At that time the company was based heavily on customer service...the customer was always right...per the founder. The original HomeDepot location was a tire store. A customer from that tire store brought his tires in and wanted his money back. HomeDepot founder refunded the money. Not sure about now...but every HomeDepot employee breakroom entrance had a tire mounted over the door as a reminder when I was working there. Back in the day, JCPenney's also took in refunds even if they did not sell the item. I sure things have changed by now, as people take advantage.
The idea was to make a unsatisfied customer, a returning customer for life.I don’t get the refunds for something that wasn’t purchased from the company.. I will say I think home depot is an excellent company both to work for and customer service!
Some risks are worth taking, some are not. The OC giveaway car was always "incomplete"...plug wires, cap and rotor in the trunk. Had to tow it, for liability.Cool story. But being the negative nancy. I can see the parents suing if something went wrong. Just the world we live in.
